Why Don’t More Pastors Warn People About Satan and Hell?

Jesus explained the parable of the seed and the sower and said, “The seed is the word of God … the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts” (Luke 8:11–12). The same book that tells us of God’s love warns us constantly of the devil who would come between us and God, the devil who is ever waiting to ensnare men’s souls. He’s a master at making us question God and His Word. Some of Satan’s favorite tricks is persuading others to ignore or deny God’s truth.

The devil is real and he is an enemy, not a cartoon character. The devil is out to defeat the Christian in his or her walk with Christ and bring doubt to God’s Word. He well knows that the child of God is a dangerous enemy to his cause. He made every effort to tempt and defeat Christ, and today the devil concentrates on Christ’s followers. He is the commander-in-chief of the powers of evil, and launches attacks against those who have taken sides with Christ and His righteousness.

What the Bible says about Satan and his minions are true because it’s God’s Word. The devil harasses, accuses, tempts, deceives, and lies in his dealings with Christians. He works through his allies, the world, and the flesh. The devil uses worldliness to wreak havoc among God’s people, to hinder the progress of righteousness. The devil is a powerful foe who is called “the god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4). When we are filled with the Spirit of God, and handle His Word with wisdom, the Word of God will defeat Satan every time.

Does The Fight Over Shariah Law In America Reveal Something Deeper About Our Culture’s Trajectory?

Is the United States Constitution still the supreme law of the land? Should American courts ever recognize a foreign legal system when it conflicts with constitutional rights? Are these merely political questions, or do they reveal something deeper about the direction of our culture and the prophetic trajectory of the world? These questions have returned to the national spotlight as lawmakers debate legislation designed to prevent the application of foreign legal systems that conflict with constitutional protections. While the immediate discussion centers on Sharia law, the broader issue extends far beyond Islam. It touches on national sovereignty, religious liberty, competing legal authorities, and the growing movement toward global convergence.

How Abortion Buffer Zones In Northern Ireland Are Being Used To Stifle Virtually All Christian Expression

Praying, carrying or reading a Bible, or engaging in pastoral ministry or other religious practice could in some cases be illegal in Northern Ireland hospitals that perform abortions, according to guidance from the Policing Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI). The extent of Northern Ireland’s abortion buffer zone law has raised questions in light of the May conviction of Pastor Clive Johnston, who stood on a public sidewalk near a hospital in the city of Coleraine in 2024 and preached a sermon on John 3:16. Although Johnston made no reference to abortion, the court found him guilty of violating Northern Ireland’s “safe access” law.

Called Out From The Culture: The Hope For America Is The Church

I believe that the hope for America is the church—God working through his church. Christians need to live up to their name. As Christ followers, we need to be Christlike. And if the church would be what it was meant to be, then it would change our nation. But let’s localize it. If your church would be what it ought to be, it could change your city. It could change your county, and it could change your state. Let’s localize it even more. If you would be what you ought to be as a follower of Jesus Christ and as a part of the church, then what a difference it could make in your church.
