A Worldview Void Of Logic: ‘Caitlyn’ Jenner Calls Himself A Hypocrite

Gender ideology simply doesn’t work.

According to our culture today, a man can be a woman, and a woman a man, as long as that’s how the person identifies. But self-identification (confusion, really) doesn’t change biology. One can’t change his or her genetics. A man is still a man, and a woman a woman. And this is abundantly obvious when it comes to sports. Trans-identifying boys and men—that means biological boys and men self-identifying as females—keep competing against women and girls and winning their awards, scholarships, and achievements while destroying their privacy and, often times, safety. But we know the Y chromosome gives an athletic advantage to males!

The obvious advantage boys and men (XY chromosomes) have over girls and women (XX chromosomes) is one reason that former Olympian Bruce Jenner, who now goes by Caitlyn and presents himself as a woman, has supported banning males from female sports, despite the fact that he believes he is a woman. This is significant because Jenner helped push the idea of transgenderism in our culture when he appeared in a dress on the cover of Vogue in 2015.

Well, in a recent podcast, Jenner reportedly stated, “Here I am fighting the battle to keep biological men out of women’s sports because it’s not right. . . . I started thinking what a hypocrite I am.”

Why is he a hypocrite? Well, because he received Glamour’s Woman of the Year award back in 2015—yes, a man received a woman of the year award! Over a decade later, he now realizes it was hypocritical of him to take a woman’s award from a woman while arguing men shouldn’t be allowed to steal women’s sports achievements. But despite his recognition of the hypocrisy, he still refuses to recognize that he’s not a woman—which is the root of the problem.

He states, “I’m still XY. Biologically, I’m female. But genetically, I’m still XY. There’s nothing I can do about that.” In other words, he’s still a male—every single cell in his body is male. And, by the way, he’s not “biologically female” because he does not have the genetics to be female (genetics determine biological development, after all!). Rather, he’s had surgery to try to force his body to appear female. That’s not “biologically female,” that’s male.

The reason men can outcompete women in sports and that men shouldn’t win woman of the year awards is because . . . they aren’t women. It doesn’t matter what they wear, what people call them, or how many surgeries they’ve had or hormones they take, a man is a man. That’s biological reality.

What Jenner needs is a worldview that makes sense logically and is in line with reality. And that is found by making the truth of God’s Word the foundation for one’s worldview! In a fallen world, there will be people who struggle with identity, but the answer is not a sinful lifestyle in opposition to truth. The answer is an identity grounded in the truth that every person is made either male or female in the image of God to glorify him: “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27).

And God’s Word tells us that in Christ, we can overcome every temptation: “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

White House Correspondents’ Dinner Gunman Apprehended; Trump: This Is Not The First Time Our Republic Has Been Attacked By A Would-Be Assassin

Greg Laurie, Pastor of Harvest Riverside, reacted to the incident, writing: "This serves as a sobering reminder of the tense and uncertain times we are living in. Acts of extreme violence and threats have become far too common, and it’s deeply concerning for our nation. It was only months ago that Charlie Kirk was assassinated. We should be praying for the safety of our president, our elected officials, and for the well-being, peace, and unity of our country."

The Modern State Of Israel Tests The Church’s Commitment To Biblical Truth

Over the last 1,500 years, anti-Semitism in the name of Christ has inflicted much pain and suffering on the Jewish people. And the church wonders why so many Jews distrust the church and reject Jesus. We are in a battle for biblical truth. Does the church accept God’s Word and live by it—including the Jewish Scriptures and the admonition to bless Israel—or does it not?

Abandoning The Duty Of A Shepherd: Should Pastors Speak About Politics From The Pulpit?

When a pastor preaches about what God has to say in His Word about gender, intimacy and marriage, sanctity of life, parental authority, stewardship of resources whether personal or societal, defending one’s family, threats of false doctrines and religions, etc., they are not being “political” but Biblical. Speaking on such topics does not imply that a pastor has an agenda; it simply means they are faithfully fulfilling their duty to proclaim the truth on such matters which God has laid out in His Word.
