The Iran Deal Leaves A Regime Standing That Fired Ballistic Missiles On My Children… Forgive Me If I Don’t Stand Up And Clap

(Tel Aviv, Israel) โ€” When a deal gets cut that lets Tehran off the hook, I feel it from both sides. I feel it from Americans, and I feel it from my Israeli neighbors, who are asking, โ€œWhat is going on?โ€ This is a far cry from the feeling eight weeks ago in the Jewish State, when the regime was on its knees.

We were at the one-yard line.

Israel has been fighting against hostile neighbors, a ring of fire of terrorists that have launched attack after attack, since the day it was reborn in 1948โ€”and even before that!

However, Israelโ€™s survival is not in question; that is guaranteed by God Himself. What grieves me is America, and the direction it is heading.

America is ramping up celebrations for its 250th birthdayโ€”a certainly worthwhile celebration. Yet, as an American, I think about Pompeii and the fall of Rome. Those stories all had the same detail: Everyone was drunk at the party while the ground was shaking. No one seemed to have their eye where it needed to be. That’s what this moment feels like. Israel is standing in a doorway screaming, โ€œThe building’s on fire!โ€ And the answer coming back from Washington, D.C., seems to be a dismissive, โ€œWe’ve got a birthday to celebrate.”

Meanwhile, Israel has become a supposed nuisance. โ€œOh, it’s you again, trying not to die.โ€

My family spent weeks, like everyone else in Israel, listening for rocket alerts that went off day and night. I had to learn the geography of my own neighborhood in a brand new way. I know where the bomb shelters are. I know if my kids want to go to the park, to ensure that there is a fortified concrete shelter within a 90-second radius. Can you imagine that?

That is the cost of the ticket for being here in Israel.

The deal that’s being celebrated may buy everyone in America 25 cents cheaper gas, but it’s going to leave a regime standing that fired ballistic missiles on my children at two o’clock in the morning.

It is going to leave a regime standing that murdered tens of thousands of their own people in a weekendโ€”the blood on the ledger that no one is counting. These tens of thousands of Iranians were murdered after President Trump told them help was coming. They believed him. They rose up. The blood of those Iranians who were murdered in the streets is not just on the hands of the IRGC; some of that is on an administration that promised that they would be rescued. And that administration, when they needed them the most, is off to a signing ceremony instead.

We stopped at the one-yard line. You will have to forgive me if I don’t stand up and clap.

New Findings Challenge โ€˜No Christian Genocide In Nigeriaโ€™ Narrative, Reveals Targeted Cruelty Against The Church

Steven Kefas, the OFRA senior research analyst who authored the article centered on captivity in Nigeria, saysย โ€œ[t]he field research reveals a lesser value is assigned to a Christian life. From the moment of capture, Muslim and Christian hostages enter different realities. It is not about individual captors. It is a systemโ€”consistent across multiple states, armed groups, and multiple years of survivor testimony.โ€

Antisemtism And Vitriol For Israel: One Of The Most Distinguishing Signs Of Our Time

The steadily intensifying antisemitism of our day points to the reality of the rapidly approaching Tribulation period. Itโ€™s one of the more distinguishing signs of our time because it aligns with so many prophecies that predict hatred for Israel and the Jews during the last days. In Zechariah 8:13, the Lord foretold what we see today along with His promise to dramatically reverse the fortunes of the Jewish people: "And as you have been a byword of cursing among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing. Fear not, but let your hands be strong.โ€

Will America Last Another 250 Years?

Looking back, there can be no denying that God has indeed shed His graceโ€”His unmerited favorโ€”on our land, from sea to shining sea. But does our national โ€œsoulโ€ encourage self-control? Do our laws champion ordered liberty? Is our success tempered with nobleness? Is brotherhood the defining characteristic of any good we aspire to reflect? By all of those measures, America seems decidedly adrift. We are drifting farther and farther from Natureโ€™s Godโ€”the Ruler of the Universe our Founders called upon and credited with for our celebrated independence.
