Kentucky’s Governor Isn’t Championing The Bible… He Is Ignoring It

(Williamstown, Kentucky) — Should Christians support children destroying their bodies with cross-sex hormones and mutilating themselves because “all children are children of God”? Well, that’s the reasoning that our Kentucky governor, Andy Beshear, recently used on The View.

Talking about his motivations, he stated: “That’s my faith. Most of the decisions I make are based on that golden rule that says we love our neighbor as ourself. And that parable of the good Samaritan that says everyone is our neighbor. And so when I’ve taken actions like vetoing the nastiest piece of anti-LGBTQ legislation that ever came through my state . . . I said my faith teaches me that all children are children of God. And I didn’t want people picking on those kids.”

Of course, what he calls “picking on those kids,” I call protecting those kids! The bill he vetoed back in 2023 (which was later passed by the legislature) banned cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers (which are dangerous and not fully reversible) for kids, along with irreversible surgeries that remove healthy body parts. The bill also kept boys out of girls’ private spaces, stopped LGBTQ indoctrination in schools, and protected teachers’ conscientious rights—meaning they are not to be forced to use preferred pronouns.

But does the Christian faith teach that we should be allowing all those things because “all children are children of God”? This is an example of progressive Christians taking and championing something that sounds good and quasi-biblical while ignoring everything else the Bible says on the subject.

First of all, not all children are God’s children. Yes, all people are made by God in his very image and are valuable. But not everyone is a child of God. Only those—children or otherwise—who have been born again become children of God.

John 1:12–13 reads, “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Being a child of God is a right given to those who come to Jesus Christ in faith. It’s not something everyone is naturally born into (that’s why you must be born again!).

But perhaps Beshear just meant that all children are created by God—that’s true. (And yet he’s pro-abortion, so he doesn’t care about children being murdered in their mothers’ wombs. It’s all very inconsistent!) All children are created by God . . . and that means they are either male or female (Genesis 1:27).

Yes, we live in a fallen world with genetic abnormalities such as rare intersex conditions (though intersex individuals are still genetically male or female), and there are people who struggle with their “gender identity,” but the biological reality of how God created us is that he made only two genders in humans: male and female.

Beshear’s argument ignores the Bible’s teaching while trying to use Christian language to persuade people. Encouraging and enabling children to ignore their biology, adopting a sinful identity that only leads to harm, is not loving or kind. It’s destructive to individuals and society.

If Beshear truly loved children as God’s Word tells us to, then he would be doing all he could to stop the murder of children in mothers’ wombs and stop the destructive, mutilating impact of the transgender ideology!

Children need to be encouraged, no matter their feelings (feelings are always changing and cannot be trusted), to have an identity grounded in what God created them to be.

A Complete Collapse Of Moral Clarity: Accusing Israel Of ‘Ethnic Cleansing,’ Britain Sanctions Goods From The Bible Heartland

If you thought the UK would head in a more sane direction after weak, woke Prime Minister Keir Starmer left office this July, I've got some bad news for you… His replacement may be even worse. On Tuesday, the government of new Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced sweeping sanctions against Israeli communities in the “West Bank”—a region that we know as the Biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria.

On Everybody’s List: Jews Face ‘The Greatest Threat Ever’

Britain’s most senior police officer warned that antisemitism has reached unprecedented levels, saying Jewish communities face their greatest threat to date as authorities confront a series of attacks and rising tensions. It is not uncommon today to hear people state that the Jew-hatred of the 21st Century is comparable to the hatred that led to near genocide of the Jews in the 1930s. Mark Rowley, head of the Metropolitan Police, said British Jews are being targeted by a wide range of extremist actors, which he linked, in part, to the influence of social media. He states, “The ghastly fact is that Jews are on everybody’s list, all of those hateful groups, whether you’re extreme right, whether you’re extreme left, whether you’re Islamist terrorist, whether you’re right-wing terrorist.”

‘A Firm Reliance On The Protection Of Divine Providence’: Finding The Way Back As One Nation Under God

It is no secret that America has largely turned its back on God. Children are encouraged to find their own truth from a young age, and mentions of God in our public schools are brushed aside or removed. Church attendance is rapidly declining as self-help strategies promise the answers to life’s problems. We’ve traded Divine guidance for subjective truth—“it’s up to me decide what is right and wrong.” And even the concept of biological sex and gender is up to the preference of each individual. It is clear that secularism has infiltrated every aspect of society, and the results are catastrophic. The further we stray from God, the deeper we sink into hopelessness.
