‘Take Back Our Country’: Anti-Regime Protesters Hack Iranian State TV, Showing Clips Of Exiled Crown Prince

Chris Katulka

Iran’s state television broadcast was hacked amid a near-total internet blackout, with video clips of exiled crown prince Reza Pahlavi and images of ongoing anti-government protests briefly airing on multiple channels.

Pahlavi used the opportunity to call on the Iranian military to break with the Islamic Republic and to side with protesters who have been demonstrating against the regime.

Pahlavi believes he is the man to bring political stability to Iran. In a recent interview, he said, “Today, as my compatriots call on me for leadership, I reaffirm my lifelong pledge by stepping in to lead the movement that will take back our country from the anti-Iranian hostile force that occupies it and kills its children. I will return to Iran. I am uniquely positioned to ensure a stable transition. That’s not my opinion, that’s the verdict delivered loudly and clearly by the people in the face of bullets.”

He added that a “large section” of the Iranian military have “whispered their loyalty” to him.

Here’s my take.

Polling data in Iran shows that 20% of Iranians support the Islamic Republic, which means 80% stand opposed to the Ayatollah’s tyrannical rule. Pahlavi’s message to the Iranian military aimed to win their favor for his potential return and to help the 80% of Iranians who long for freedom in their country.

The Iranian people are fed up with living in a brutal dictatorship, which prioritizes funding terrorism against Israel, plotting for the downfall of the United States, and enforcing freedom-crushing Islamic law. Many protesters are calling for the regime’s end and the re-establishment of Shah rule, led by exiled crown prince Reza Pahlavi—who has openly showcased his friendship with both Israel and the United States.

Iran also has, what many believe to be, the fastest-growing underground church in the world. Needless to say, these individuals coming to faith in Jesus Christ are severely persecuted under the current Islamic regime.

Iran was once a thriving country, beloved by tourists, before the grip of radical Islam took hold in Tehran. The Iranian people are actively attempting to regain their freedom, a desire which should be supported and prayed for by Christians.

Jan Markell: Has Dispensational Theology And Christian Zionism ‘Corrupted Christianity’?

But now this theology—since it represents the truth—is under brutal attack. And wouldn't you know, Tucker Carlson has provided the platform to trash it. His guest, J.D. Hall, denigrates Christian Zionism, as does Tucker Carlson, who insists "a lot of people have died because of Christian Zionism." The program is titled, "Origins of Christian Zionism, How it Corrupted American Christianity and Why It Is Finally Collapsing." But think about the accusation: Christian Zionism has corrupted Christianity. That suggests standing by Israel has a cancerous effect.

The Danger Posed By Turkey Is Not Theoretical To Those Who Hold A Biblical Worldview

Turkey, a member of NATO, has a vast track record of antisemitism—praising the Iranian proxy-led massacre on October 7th, hosting Hamas terrorists, threatening to invade the Jewish State, and even publicly expressing the desire to acquire nuclear weapons. Some Military experts have gone so far as to brand the nation “the new Iran,” expressing concerns over Turkish President Erdogan’s thirst for power and radical anti-Israel rhetoric. The danger posed by Turkey is not theoretical to those who hold a Biblical worldview. Through the book of Ezekiel, chapters 38-39, we know that when the leadership in Turkey threatens to invade the Jewish State, we should take them at their word.

Thomas Jefferson’s ‘Separation Of Church And State’ Never Meant Keeping God Out Of Government

In context, it’s clear this wall of separation was not created to keep religion out of the State. It was simply intended to protect religious freedom and to place boundaries on the State’s control over the Church. In fact, the United States Capitol served as a church building for seven decades and Jefferson himself was a regular attendee. He attended so faithfully that he earned a reserved seat. On the Sunday after he wrote the letter to the Danbury Baptists, he attended church services at the still-under-construction Capitol.
