TRENDING:

The American Left Has Now Fully Embraced Racism

A Rubicon has been crossed in American political discourse. Long purveyors of Marxism, the nationโ€™s leftists have now come to fully embrace something else; racism. Just in the last week in the areas of medicine, education, and journalism, well-intentioned institutional racists have insisted โ€” as is increasingly their habit โ€” that skin color is andย mustย be the defining element of our public policies.

There is no issue more important to the future and soul of our nation right now than the leftist bigotry threatening the very concept of what it means to be an American.

On the medical side, Dr. Harald Schmidt, a supposed expert on ethics and health policy at the University of Pennsylvania, told the New York Times that essential workers, not the elderly, should be the first to receive COVID-19 vaccines. His reason? โ€œOlder populations are whiter,โ€ he told the publication. โ€œSociety is structured in a way that enables them to live longer. Instead of giving additional health benefits to those who already had more of them, we can start to level the playing field a bit.โ€

To be clear, the term โ€œlevel the playing fieldโ€ here means allowing people to die because of the color of their skin.

Whatโ€™s amazing about this is that just months ago to even question the efficacy of lockdowns meant to stop the spread of COVID-19 was met with accusations that one was killing grandma. Now, it doesnโ€™t matter because grandma is probably white.

Nothing, it seems, is more important than protecting the lives of the oldest among us, except for fighting racism. The great irony of course is that the lockdowns themselves have disproportionately destroyed minority-owned businesses. Yet, for the Marxists on the radical left, this doesnโ€™t matter. They donโ€™t fight racism by giving people tools to lift themselves up, they purport to do it by making people dependent on the state.

Next, in outrageous racism infecting our educational system, this week, New York City mayor Bill de Blasio announced sweeping changes to the way in the cityโ€™s top public schools consider applicants in an attempt to diversify, or as some unhinged proponents of his plan put it, โ€œdesegregateโ€ these schools. Essentially, admissions will focus less on grades and more on skin color.

The dirty little secret of his proposal is that it is Asian students, not white students, who dominate admissions to these schools and who will bear the brunt of de Blasioโ€™s abject racism.

There is also a further deeply condescending and racist aspect of this approach. It simply accepts that there is nothing we can do to help black and brown students achieve except put our thumb on the scale. De Blasio and his racist allies like School Chancellor Richard Carranza would argue that systems of white supremacy are responsible for the achievement gaps, but if so, how do they explain the success of Asian students, and why are they being punished?

Finally, from the wonderful world of journalism, we have an argument from two authors at Harvardโ€™s Nieman Lab thatย suggests reporting on crime is racist:

Itโ€™s racist, classist, fear-based clickbait masking as journalism. It creates lasting harm for the communities that newsrooms are supposed to serve. And because it so rarely meets the publicโ€™s needs, itโ€™s almost never newsworthy, despite what Grizzled Gary in his coffee-stained shirt says from his perch at the copy desk.

Here we see a classic example of progressive white racism tinged with deadly paternalism. Whatโ€™s the real problem with crime? Is it that murders are skyrocketing across America, with the victims disproportionately black and brown? No, discussing that makes white progressives uncomfortable. Indeed, they would much rather indulge absurd fantasies about โ€œdefund the policeโ€ initiatives lowering crime than actually try to save lives in minority communities. And now, they donโ€™t even think the media should report on those deaths.

This sort of racism will get people killed. If reporters simply ignore crimes in minority areas for fear of being racist โ€” including the murders of children โ€” the problem will persist. More kids of color will have their lives snuffed out but understand, that is the price we have to pay for white progressives to feel good about themselves.

All three of these examples of dangerous racism occurred in one week. One week. All stem from the pernicious concept of critical race theory, a demonstrably racist set of ideas Democrats want to drill into the heads of all-white government employees except, apparently, Joe Biden, who to my knowledge has never undergone this vital training (strange, given that his own Vice President-elect has openly called him a racist).

There is no more important fight for conservatives today than battling the racism of the American left. And as is often the case with effective battle plans this one is quite simple. We must call for people not to be judged or treated differently solely on the basis of the color of their skin. That shouldnโ€™t be a controversial concept, but it is.

Letโ€™s be clear, this isnโ€™t an academic or ephemeral disagreement between the left and the right. It is an existential fight against abject racism. It is a fight we must not only engage in but embrace. The very future of our nation depends on it.

Ken Ham in his article โ€œResponding to Racismโ€”No Other Answer Than the Gospelโ€ wrote on the Biblical response to racism and pointed out the error in falling into the social justice lie of โ€œinstitutional racismโ€œ:

Iโ€™ve been speaking on the topic since the 1970s and have made it a vital component of our teaching at AiG. Now the true solution to racism is grounded in the history in the book of Genesis and the gospel. Because the solutions offered by so many in our culture are anti-biblical, we want believers to be equipped to respond in a way that honors the Lord and his Word.

And Iโ€™m not the only one saying this. Far from it! As just one example, Voddie Bauchum, who has spoken at many of our past conferences, wasย recently featuredย in an article on the website Christian Headlines. In the interview, he called attention to the centrality of the gospel in any biblical response to racism:

And itโ€™s been interesting to watch scenes of white people, literally kneeling and bowing and genuflecting, in repentance over their sin ofโ€”of white privilege. Or, you know, bias. Or conscious bias. Or unconscious bias. Or whatever elseย .ย .ย .

Ultimately, โ€œthis religion [of social justice] is promising salvation, somewhere other than Godย .ย .ย . And unfortunately, there are many Christians who are sounding like theyโ€™re satisfied with this.โ€ย .ย .ย .

[Voddie] made a distinction betweenย individual racism and institutional racism, calling them โ€œtwo competing worldviewsโ€ย .ย .ย .

โ€œOne worldview that says racism is individual. Itโ€™s an individual heart issue. And thatโ€™s the world where we deal with the individual heart issue, with the message of the gospelย .ย .ย . But then thereโ€™s another worldview that says, no, no, no, no. Regardless of individual heart issue, this is a structural and institutional issue.โ€

As Iโ€™ve shared in the past, the gospel isย theย answer to racism. Salvation isnโ€™t found anywhere but in Christ! And the sin of racism, ultimately, is a heart issueโ€”itโ€™s caused by sin in the hearts of men and women. A heart/spiritual problem requires a spiritual solutionโ€”and the only solution is the biblical truth that weโ€™re all one race (which is confirmed by the science of genetics) and the gospel of Jesus Christ that is offered to all.

When Jesusโ€™ disciples came to Him and asked, โ€œWhat shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?โ€ Jesus explained to them that one of the signs that would precede His coming would be โ€œnationsโ€ rising against โ€œnations.โ€

The word โ€œnationsโ€ found in this verse (Matthew 24:7) is from the Greek word โ€œethnos,โ€ where we get our English word for โ€œethnicity.โ€ Therefore, this verse can also be read that โ€œethnicity shall rise against ethnicityโ€ in the last days.

Racism is not new. However, what does seem to be new to our generation is a fabricated racial division. Racism is a sin. Creating division and hatred is a sin (Prov. 6:16-19Luke 11:171 John 2:9). All of these things are deeply rooted in a rebellion against God, His Word, and His design.

Beneath that surface lies a profound danger. These systems are not counselors. They have no conscience, no soul, no accountability before God or man. Moral Inconsistency: In Abortion Up To Birth Minnesota, Lawmakers Argue For ‘Inherent Right to Life’… For Rice

If you heard someone say a bill would โ€œrecognize the .ย .ย . inherent right to live,โ€ you might assume the speaker was referring to the inherent, God-given right that unborn babies have to life. This story just highlights the inconsistency that happens when people abandon the truth ofย Godโ€™s Word and worship the creature, rather than the Creator.

Roll Your Eyes All You Want… The Rapture Is Real

Is the Rapture real? Thereโ€™s always debate around this topic. Letโ€™s start with the obvious: the Rapture sounds crazy. Jesus descends from Heaven, dead people rise from their graves, and living believers are suddenly caught up into the skyโ€”like the worldโ€™s strangest episode of โ€œStranger Things.โ€ Sounds like the stuff your uncle mutters about after three cups of church coffee. Exceptโ€”the Rapture is right there in Scripture. Paul says it. John says it. Jesus says it.
