Jack Hibbs: Will You Unashamedly Represent Him?

It is safe to say that the cross, is the most famous piece of jewelry around the world. It adorns necks on every continent and culture, including those nations where public display guarantees arrest.

In Jesusโ€™ day, the cross was a horrific tool of punishment that the Roman Empire used with profound results. The Roman cross loomed in the back of many a malefactorโ€™s mind, knowing that, if caught, crucifixion would be the payment for the error of oneโ€™s ways and used as a public example.

Today, we display crosses on tasteful chains. โ€œMy, thatโ€™s a beautiful cross,โ€ people say. But how can such a wicked and terrible thing be desirable? Allow me to put a twist on the topic.

The appeal of the cross has nothing to do with affordability because it cost our Savior His precious bloodโ€”the incalculable price of sin. Its beauty isnโ€™t glittery gold or silver, but its blood-stained wood. The cross is not attractive because it is shiny and smooth but because itโ€™s harsh and rough.

Wearing a cross doesnโ€™t adorn youโ€”it is the wearing of Jesus Christ and His message. We are to display Jesus and announce Him everywhere we go, knowing that ridicule and rejection will be the cross we bear in our association.

Will you unashamedly represent Him? If so, shed every form of rude and cold-hearted religiosity. Be a genuine, uncompromising follower of Christ and show the world that the cross you wear is more than a symbol. May you wear its message well.

Denying The Jewish Peopleโ€™s Connection To Jerusalem Would Be Laughable… If So Many Nations Didn’t Believe It

In December 2017, U.S. President Donald Trump decided to implement the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995. He recognized Jerusalem as the official capital of the State of Israel, which calls for Jerusalem to remain an undivided city, and ordered the federal government to relocate the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalemโ€”a move timed to help celebrate Israelโ€™s 70th birthday. The UN General Assembly then countered with the โ€œStatus of Jerusalemโ€ resolutionโ€”which passed 128 to 9, with 35 abstentionsโ€”denying the Jewish peopleโ€™s connection to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

Global Tensions Expose The Vast Contrast Between Human Hope And Godโ€™s Promises

In the Bible, hope is closely connected to waiting. Not waiting in the sense that we are still uncertain about the outcome, but steadfastly waiting because we fully expect the outcome God promised in His Word. In other words, manโ€™s definition of hope carries doubt. Godโ€™s does not. As such, Biblical hope is a sure foundation upon which we may base our lives, believing that God always keeps His promises.

Prophetic Pieces: As Putin Ups The Ante In The Arms Race, Russia Considers Providing Refuge To Top Iranian Leaders

Prophetic events in the end times right now are casting their shadows over the Middle East like never before. Preparations for the Gog Magog coalition prophesied in Ezekiel 38 and 39 are increasing and intensifying. Written 2,500 years ago by Ezekiel, these chapters prophesy an end-time invasion of Israel led by the nations of Russia, Iran, and Turkey. Two significant developments showcase that the prophetic pieces are falling perfectly into place.
