Israel Attacks Hezbollah in Lebanon After Shots Fired at Troops Near Border

Israeli warplanes struck Hezbollah targets near the border early Wednesday after shots were fired from Lebanon at Israeli Defense Force (IDF) troops late Tuesday.

The military called the shooting a “severe event” at Kibbutz Menara near the city of Kiryat Shemona in the Upper Galilee. No injuries were reported.

“In response to the gunfire, IDF attack helicopters and aircraft struck terror targets belonging to the Hezbollah terror group,” the IDF said.

These targets included Hezbollah observation posts near the Lebanese border.

There were no immediate reports of casualties in Lebanon.

The Israeli retaliation marks the first time Israel has bombed Hezbollah targets inside Lebanon since 2006 during the Second Lebanon War. However, the military has fired artillery and tank shells at Hezbollah in response to attacks near the border.

The IDF said it will continue to “maintain a high level of alertness and ensure the sovereignty of Israel and the security of residents as much as necessary.”

Meanwhile, Israel continues to face threats along its southern border with Gaza.

The military attacked Hamas targets in Gaza early Wednesday after terrorists sent dozens of incendiary balloons into Israel Tuesday, sparking fires.

The IDF said its warplanes targeted Hamas’ underground infrastructure in the coastal enclave.

Israel’s fire and rescue service said most of the fires were small and posed no threat to people.

Terrorists in Gaza have sent hundreds of incendiary balloons into Israel in recent weeks, prompting retaliatory attacks from Israel. Senior Hamas official Ismail Radwan told Palestinian media Monday that the violence will continue until the blockade on Gaza is lifted.

Israel and Egypt have maintained a blockade on Gaza since Hamas took control in 2007. The blockade was implemented to prevent the import of weapons into Gaza. Israel frequently tightens the blockade in response to attacks.

Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Hamas against escalating the violence and said Israel is prepared to fight.

Teachers Vow To Resist Texas’ Decision To Add Biblical Texts To The Required Reading List In Schools

As implementation approaches in 2030, expect more lawsuits, media hysteria, and teacher pushback. Texas has taken a courageous stand. Other states should follow — not just with Bible readings, but by rejecting the false neutrality that has hollowed out education. The stakes are the minds and hearts of the next generation. True education demands the full truth, starting with the Book that has illuminated Western civilization for millennia. Anything less is delusion.

‘Blessing What God Calls Sin’: American Denomination Endorses Sex-Change Procedures for Minors

“When a denomination votes to bless what God calls sin, the vote itself is not the real story,” he stated. “The real story is a church that has decided the spirit of the age gets the final word instead of the Word that made the age. That decision was settled long before any ballot was counted... Scripture does not leave us guessing about who we are. Genesis tells us God made us male and female in His own image, and He called His handiwork very good (Genesis 1:27, 31). A church that can no longer say so has stopped listening to the One it claims to serve and begun echoing the culture it was sent to reach."

Will America Last Another 250 Years?

Looking back, there can be no denying that God has indeed shed His grace—His unmerited favor—on our land, from sea to shining sea. But does our national “soul” encourage self-control? Do our laws champion ordered liberty? Is our success tempered with nobleness? Is brotherhood the defining characteristic of any good we aspire to reflect? By all of those measures, America seems decidedly adrift. We are drifting farther and farther from Nature’s God—the Ruler of the Universe our Founders called upon and credited with for our celebrated independence.
