With twenty-six members from seventeen different states, the newly launched “Sharia Free America Caucus” in the US House of Representatives is working to reveal the dangers and safeguard America from freedom-trampling Islamic ideology.
The caucus, chaired by Texas Congressmen Keith Self and Chip Roy, underscores that Sharia Law poses a direct threat to the United States and Western civilization, noting that both members of Congress and American citizens must be educated to understand the danger.
“Sharia is a direct threat to our Constitution and Western values and seeks to replace our legal system and erode our basic freedoms,” Roy stated. “Our immigration system must be prepared to confront this challenge and defend our Judeo-Christian values.”
Congressman Self, in an interview with CBN, drew a “direct connection between a growing Muslim population in his home state to a gradual infiltration of Islamic control.”
“North Texas has had like 20 mosques in the last two years,” he described, further pointing to the ongoing attempt to build East Plano Islamic Community (EPIC City), a proposed muslim-only community in the heart of Texas.
As Daniel Cohen, News Director for the Real Life Network, previously reported that the masterminds behind “EPIC city” publicly schemed about ways to exclude Christians from the community and planned to name streets after Islamic conquerors.
“The Muslim Brotherhood as a whole is the genesis of all of this. They are the foundation of exporting Sharia to the United States and to Europe,” Self warned. “Look at the UK. Look at France. That’s what we don’t want to happen to America.”
โSharia Law is utterly barbaric and has no place in America whatsoever,” Caucus member Brandon Gill cautioned, “My constituents in Texas are constantly expressing their concern and asking what can be done about the rise of mass Islamic immigration in north Texas, including developments like the East Plano Islamic Community. If people come to America in search of a better life, they need to be prepared to assimilate to our culture, not impose third world ideals into our society.”
The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) has highlighted the dangers of radical Islamic ideology, explaining that the Quran gives an “open-ended command and obligation today to spread Islam, to terrorize the ‘infidels,’ and to make sure that Islam and Shariah law are seen as superior.”
Texans will have the opportunity to vote on Proposition 10 on March 3rd. The ballot measure, titled “Preserving a Sharia-Free America Act,” calls for Texas to prohibit Shariah law in the state and seeks to “amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to include advocacy for Sharia law to be a ground for inadmissibility and deportability, and for other purposes.”
“Our nationโs strength lies in upholding the Constitution as the supreme law of the land,” Michael Cloud emphasized. “The rise of Sharia law is an assault on our Constitution, our freedoms, and the Christian foundations of our nation. We cannot allow this oppressive ideology to take root in America. We cannot become like Europe and stand idly by while the bastions of liberty are eroded away, community by community.”
