Climate Religion: United Nations Calls On The West To Reduce ‘Gas Emissions’ By Minimizing ‘Meat Consumption’

According to a recent article, the United Nations is preparing “to call on Americans to reduce meat consumption. . . . as part of a broader effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.” This recommendation is, of course, based on their view of supposed “climate change.” How should Christians think about this?

Well, the “climate change” they talk about is actually an anti-God religion that believes man can save himself and that he must save the planet. They have given the creation dominion over man instead of recognizing man’s God-given role of dominion over the creation.

Here are three verses of Scripture to ponder in response to this coming UN recommendation:

1. God gave man dominion over the earth.

2. After the flood, God changed our diet so that we were given permission to eat meat.

3. After the flood, God made a promise that clearly shows man cannot destroy the planet.

The United Nations (in a wide variety of ways) promotes a secular, anti-Christian, anti-God worldview that destroys.

Christians need to have a truly biblical worldview in regard to the environment and understand that we’ve been given dominion over the creation to use what God has made for man’s good and God’s glory. Man is to be a good steward of that dominion mandate—we are not to abuse creation but use it as God intended and instructed.

Unlike the UN, let’s make sure we’re starting with God’s Word and allowing our thinking to be shaped by Scripture.

The Bible, in fantastic detail, explains the future of the earth (see: Revelation 4-22). Those who trust God’s Word as the ultimate authority know that the world will not be destroyed by man-induced climate catastrophe.

Ken Ham, Founder and CEO of Answers in Genesis, in his recent article, “Zealous Climate Activism Is a False Religion… With Its Own False Prophets,” explained that the predictions of climate destruction, often proclaimed by politicians, are consistently shown to be inaccurate.

“Really, this zealous climate activism is a false religion with false prophets. These activists and scientists have no idea what is really happening or what is going to happen,” Ham described. “And they ignore much of the history concerning climate data. That’s why the predictions are constantly wrong! They have the wrong starting point (man’s word) and the wrong history (evolution and millions of years), so they come to wrong conclusions about the future.”

“Well, it’s ultimately all about them being their own god and worshipping themselves and the creation, rather than the Creator (see Romans chapter 1),” Ham underscored. “It’s their religion as they attempt to make some supposed ‘purpose’ for themselves in their (self-inflicted) meaningless existence. It’s what happens when people worship the creature rather than the Creator.”

While it is debated whether or not globalist organizations such as the WEF, the media, politicians, and activists are aware that the claims they are making are false, Scripture tells us that in the time prior to Jesus’ return “evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse,” simultaneously “deceiving, and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13).

The apostle Paul also specifically warns that during this time before the Lord’s return, people will fall away from Biblical truth and accept “doctrines of devils” (1 Timothy 4:1-2). Paul states that those who speak “lies in hypocrisy” will be “commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth” (1 Timothy 4:3)

Christian author Jonathan Brentner, in his article, “3 Climate Myths Spread By The Globalists,” explained why Christians should not fall prey to climate propaganda, and instead remember the unshakable hope we have for our future found in Christ.

“What’s more important is what Scripture tells us about creation and the future of this world. Our reason for hope rests in Jesus’ appearing to take us home,” he wrote. “The climate emergency is just one of many deceptions that the globalists are using to gain more control in this world. Even though we do not like it, the Bible tells us that in the last days just such a world order would come into existence with the antichrist at the helm (Revelation 13).”

The Clash Of Worldviews: Secular Progressivism Vs Biblical Christianity

To understand the age in which we live, it is important to understand the ideas behind secular progressivism and, more importantly, what its aspirations are. After all, whether the majority of people realise it or not, secular progressivism has the stated goal of organising social life (with or without your consent) toward explicitly chosen goals. Those goals, however, put it in direct conflict with Biblical truth. The major flaw in secular progressivism is its belief that preference trumps truth. Because the maxim of this ideology is that “all preferences are created equal,” any belief which competes with somebody’s “preference” is treated in one of two ways. Either it must be suppressed (usually with the backing of government or media institutions), or it must be branded as a private hobby which is acceptable in the home or inner thought life but not welcome in the public square where others may be influenced by it.

How Allegory Reduces The Bible To Nothing More Than A Work Of Fiction

It is God alone who predicts the future. Prophecy is one of God’s signatures that tells us that we can trust in Him and His Word. It is what separates the Bible from all other religious writings in the world. But if we consistently use allegorical hermeneutics, as Charles Ryrie points out, then in effect what we have just done is reduce the Bible to nothing more than a work of fiction. How tragic! With hermeneutics like that, it is no wonder so many people want nothing to do with Bible prophecy. It is no wonder pastors refuse to preach and teach events concerning the future, and it is no wonder it can be so hard to understand.

Jan Markell: You Can’t Have A Genuine Revival With False Doctrine Raging

I hear a dozen evangelists stating that we are on the verge of a great revival. One self-proclaimed prophet says that a billion souls will come to faith in the coming weeks and months. If my Rapture is imminent, how can there be an imminent revival? Which is it? The Bible does talk about a coming revival. The question concerns its timing. Is it in the coming days, or is it after the Rapture when the “left behind” world realizes they should have listened to believers like you and me, get a second chance, and multitudes come to faith?
