A U.S. District Court affirmed parents’ fundamental constitutional rights and blocked California schools from hiding information about a child’s “gender identity” from them. Judge Roger T. Benitez’ decision also affirmed the religious liberty and free speech of teachers, saying the legislators and the California Department of Education (CDOE) could not force teachers to lie to parents or hide their children’s sexual identity confusion from them.

This week, the U.S. Department of War (DOW) announced it is reevaluating the discharge status of servicemembers who were involuntarily discharged solely for refusing to take a COVID-19 vaccine.

House Passes Bill Banning Sex-Rejecting Procedures For Minors

The House of Representatives narrowly passed a bill yesterday which would ban doctors from performing sex-rejecting procedures on people under 18 years old. The Protect Children’s Innocence Act (H.R. 3492) makes it a federal crime to administer wrong-sex hormones or perform sex-rejecting surgical procedures on minors struggling with wrong-sex confusion.

Australia began enforcing the world’s first social media ban on Wednesday. The novel policy, which the Australian legislature passed last year, prohibits people under 16 years old from accessing social media. Platforms including Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Kick, Reddit, Threads, TikTok, Twitch, X, and YouTube must verify their users’ ages or face millions of dollars in fines.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit ruled the Trump administration can begin enforcing the provision of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) which defunds the abortion industry of federal Medicaid money (Defund provision). The provision, which prohibits Medicaid dollars from going to entities that provide abortions, and lasts for one year, was set to cost Planned Parenthood roughly $800 million.
