Argentinian president Javier Milei, a quickly rising hero among conservatives in the Western world, recently rebuked the “bloody abortion agenda” at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

In a fiery speech to the gathering of globalists, Milei warned that “the Western world is in danger” thanks to “those who are supposed to have to defend the values of the West are co-opted by a vision of the world that … leads to socialism and thereby to poverty.” 

He went on to issue a scathing rebuke of the “radical feminist agenda” and notions that “we human beings damage the planet, which should be protected at all costs, even going as far as advocating for population control mechanisms or the bloody abortion agenda.”

Milei, who was elected in November and assumed office in December, went on to detail the extent to which “Neo-Marxists have managed to co-opt the common sense of the Western world” which has been “achieved by appropriating the media, culture, universities and also international organizations.” 

The Christian Post notes that Milei’s libertarian La Libertad Avanza coalition held in its 2023 national election platform its commitment to “the defense of the right to life from conception,” which Milei told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson in an interview has not only a philosophical but also a “scientific” basis.

“While it’s true that women have the right to their own bodies, the child in a woman’s womb is not her body,” he continued. “That makes abortion a murder, enabled and aggravated by a power imbalance against a child that has no way to defend itself.”

Shortly after the overturning of Roe V. Wade by the United States Supreme Court, Franklin Graham underscored the importance of recognizing the issue of abortion as a spiritual battle:

We must know the heart of the abortion issue isn’t political or legal—it’s spiritual. It’s a rejection of God’s law and principles as revealed in Scripture, and a rebellion against His authority over all of life. The pro-abortion movement has been nothing but an anti-God campaign. 

The Bible says, “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. … My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret. … Your eyes saw my unformed substance” (Psalm 139:13-16). 

That is why the fight against abortion has been fought on the battlefield of prayer. It is a war waged in the heavenly places, asking the Lord for His supernatural, sovereign help to save innocent lives in the womb.  

Cissie Graham Lynch, daughter of Franklin Graham and host of the Fearless Podcast, wrote discussing the responsibility Christians have to be involved in protecting Life in the womb:

The fight for life is nothing new. History has shown us evil in its purest form when we murder innocent children. Pharaoh attempted to kill Hebrew babies. Children were sacrificed to Molech, a manmade idol. Herod ordered the baby boys in Bethlehem to be killed. The Nazis used children for horrific human experimentation. We see it throughout history. And now we see people celebrating on the steps of the Supreme Court or in the streets, bragging about their abortions. We ourselves have become the idols—we’re sacrificing children to the idol of self, for the sake of convenience.

But history has also shown us what happens when people are willing to stand for truth and face adversity. When Pharaoh ordered that the Hebrew baby boys be killed, Moses’ mother found a way to save him. She chose life, and God used Moses to save thousands of other lives.

God can use each of us, too, as we stand for the truth about the sanctity of human life. None of us can afford to sit quietly while genocide is taking place.
