(Tel Aviv, Israel) — Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum’s surprise decision to recognize “Palestine” as a sovereign state is both reckless and misguided.
On Friday, Sheinbaum accepted the diplomatic credentials of Nadya Rasheed, Ambassador of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), a Middle East organization the US once classified as a terror group.
Sheinbaum, in October, criticized Israel for defending itself after October 7th, stating, “We condemn the aggressions that are being experienced, and we also consider that the State of Palestine must be recognized in full magnitude, just like the State of Israel. “
Here is the truth: the cartels are ruining Mexico, just like Hamas ruined Gaza. They’re trafficking drugs, sex, weapons, and even children into the United States.
During President Donald Trump’s Joint Session to Congress address earlier this month, he warned, “The cartels are waging war in America, and it’s time for America to wage war on the cartels—which we are doing.”
Because of cartel murder, torture, and kidnapping, Mexico has seven of the ten deadliest cities in the world. President Trump officially designated the Mexican cartels, like Hamas, as foreign terrorist organizations shortly after taking office.
“[The drug cartels] are now designated as [foreign] terrorist organizations,” he declared during the signing of the executive order on January 20th. “They’re killing our people. They’re killing 250,000-300,000 American people a year.”
Sheinbaum was elected in 2024 after a bloody election campaign that saw thirty-seven candidates assassinated. Since 2018, over 2,600 Mexican police officers have been killed. Frightening footage coming out of Mexico shows disturbing incidents, such as schoolchildren ducking under their desks while the cartels are shooting outside. The scenes and brutal violence perpetrated by the cartel are being called by reporters “too gruesome to describe.”
Despite the alarming state of her own country, Sheinbaum has the audacity to lecture Israel.
The worst part of this whole charade is that Sheinbaum is Jewish. The first female Jewish President of Mexico—cut from the same cloth as Bernie Sanders and Chuck Schumer—wants to give statehood to those who cheered October 7th.
Did you know Palestinian Authority textbooks teach Arab children that Jews are evil? Did you know that Hamas’s charter calls for the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews?
We know that the Left, like Sheinbaum, loves radical ideas. Well, here’s a radical idea: why not fix your own house before telling others how to renovate theirs?

Editor’s Note: ‘People Are Calling Murder Good’
Ken Ham, the Founder and CEO of Answers In Genesis, recently addressed the Progressive Left’s shocking stances on murder, whether it is the praise of Hamas terrorists, violent illegal immigrants, abortion, or, recently, the cold-blooded killer who shot the CEO of UnitedHealthcare.
“There is a verse from Scripture that I have read many times over the years that I once thought, ‘I can’t imagine a culture being like that,’” he began. “We are now at a time when the verse in Isaiah 5:20 is precisely what we are witnessing in our society: ‘Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!'”
“We see Isaiah 5:20 happening in all sorts of ways, and now we see it happening in regard to murder,” Ham lamented. “People are calling murder good, and those who want to condemn murder evil. Who would have ever thought that we would be in that situation?”
“It’s a reminder that the culture is sick—and you can’t just treat the symptoms; you have to treat the sickness,” he asserted. “The sickness is man’s heart. Until people recognize that this is a spiritual issue, we will be unable to deal with the many ramifications happening as a byproduct.”
“We have to understand the true sickness and deal with the origin,” Ham continued. “Doctors don’t just want to deal with the symptoms; they must get to the root cause and deal with the disease. The root cause is a spiritual issue. We have to be pointing people to the truth of God’s Word, the saving Gospel, and see a heart change—from a sick heart because of sin to one regenerated by the work of the Lord, Jesus Christ, through what He did on the cross of Calvary and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. That’s the solution.”
