Canada Blocks $60M Arms Sale To Israel, Endorsing The Lie That Israel Is Guilty Of ‘Genocide’

Robert Gottselig

Last week, it was reported by World Israel News (WIN) that Canada has moved for the “immediate suspension of 30 armed shipments to Israel, citing concerns over alleged ‘genocide’ in Gaza.”

Canadian Foreign Minister Mรฉlanie Joly said at the liberal caucus retreat in Nanaimo, British Columbia: “Our policy is clear: We will not have any form of arms or parts of arms be sent to Gaza. Period. How they’re being sent and where they’re being sent is irrelevant.”

WIN further reported that “the suspension extends beyond just Canadian companies.”

“A Quebec-based subsidiary of Virginia’s General Dynamics had been tapped to produce explosive mortar cartridges for Israel in a $61.1 million deal orchestrated by the US government last month,” they detailed. “This means, not only will Israel not be receiving these vital pieces of ammunition to defend herself from annihilation, all permits approved before January 8, when Canada initially announced a halt on arms sales to Israel, will now be reviewed.”

The idea that Israel is committing “genocide” in Gaza is absolutely ridiculous. Come on, Canada! Shame on you for believing this lie.

Even the BBC, whose support for Israel is very negative, reported that “The United Nations has revised down the figure it publishes for the proportion of women and children killed in Gaza, leading to claims fewer Palestinians have been killed since Israel launched its offensive following the Hamas attack of October 7.”

“On 6 May, the UN said that 69% of reported fatalities were women and children. Two days later, it said this figure was 52%,” the BBC continued. “The overall number of reported deaths in Gaza – which currently stands at more than 35,000 – has not changed, but the UN now says incomplete information has led to the revision.”

As a result of these numbers, the UN, which has shown its extreme bias against Israel, as well as the BBC, is now relying on the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza for their statistics rather than the Hamas-run Government Media Office. Note, friends, that both of these groups are run by the terrorist organization Hamas!

Canada has deemed Hamas a terrorist organization, so why are we believing anything that they report?

Has there been civilian casualties in Gaza? Of course. I’m not here to say that there are no civilian casualties. This is a war, and it should always be at the forefront of our minds that it was Hamas who started this war on October 7th. Furthermore, the alleged 40,000 deaths that we are being told have occurred also include the terrorists themselves.

Israel has estimated the number to be somewhere around 30,000 deaths, not 40,000, with 14,000 of them being terrorists and about 16,000 of them being civilians. That puts Israel’s combatant-to-civilian death ratio at around 1.2:1 to 1.5:1, which is less than two civilians to every combatant. That is unheard of in the annals of war.

Even the UN states that, on average, in most wars and conflicts, 90% of wartime casualties are civiliansโ€”that’s a 9:1 ratio.

Make no mistake: Israel is doing everything humanly possible to avoid civilian deaths. If they didn’t care about civilian casualties, this war could have been over on October 8th. Instead, they sent their military in on the ground, putting their soldiers at risk, because they do not want civilians killed. Israel is after Hamas, the terrorists, and is working to eliminate them in order to prevent another October 7th from ever happening again.

Hamas doesn’t play by the rules of war. Instead, they hide and launch their rockets in and near civilian areas like hospitals, schools, and mosques. Their tunnels and shafts open up into people’s homes and into children’s bedrooms. This happens all over the Gaza Strip. They’re using their own civilians as human shields.

An IDF spokesperson recently showed the tunnel where six hostages were murdered by Hamas late last month. Have a look at where the shaft is located:

Wake up, Canada! Israel is not committing genocide. They are doing everything humanly possible to avoid civilian casualties while they eliminate the demonic death cult of Hamas. And you know what? Israel is winning. They are winning this despite the heavy pressure around the world against them to let Hamas live to fight another day.

WIN reported last week that “the former commander of Hamas’s Khan Younis Brigade, Rafa’a Salameh, who was killed with Mohammed Deif in an airstrike in July, wrote to Sinwar, ‘We have lost 90-95% of our rocket capabilities, and we have lost some 60% of our weapons.'”

His letter to Sinwar further stated, “We have lost at least 65-70% of our anti-tank launchers and rockets, and most importantly, we have lost at least 50% of our fighters between those who are martyred and wounded, and now we are left with 25%.”

Bottom line: War is ugly, but world leaders need to allow Israel to finish the job, which is never to allow Hamas to regroup to repeat October 7th. Israel is winning that battle, but it could be finished much sooner if countries would quit putting pressure on the Jewish State to cease this war instead of calling for Hamas to release the hostages and surrender.

Come on, Canada! Think about it, stop listening to the Israel haters, and give Israel what they need.

A Jewish person that I know posted a comment and a picture on their Facebook page. The image was captioned: “This is how your Jewish friends are doing. Thanks for asking.”

When I saw that picture, it reminded me of what King David wrote in a prayer of faith during time of distress: “I am weary with my groaning; All night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears. My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my enemies. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord has heard my supplication; The Lord will receive my prayer. Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly” (Psalm 6:6-10).

Friends, let’s continue to be a comfort to Israel and the Jewish people. They’re facing unprecedented challenges in Israel. They’re facing enemies around them who want to wipe them off the face of the map. Let’s continue to lift them up in prayer.

Pray for the release or rescue of the remaining hostages. Pray for Israel’s leaders to be wise to the schemes of those who want to kill them. Pray for the end of this war and that the Palestinians would finally want to make peace with Israelโ€”even the majority of the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank continue to support what Hamas did on October 7th. Pray that they have a change of heart because without making peace with Israel, nothing’s going to change.

Most importantly, let’s continue to pray what God says to the world in Isaiah 45:22: “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.”

Anti-Regime Protests, The Future Of Iran, And Where Christians Should Stand

As Christians, we should always examine world events with a Bible in hand. Through the lens of Scripture, we understand two critical insights that are unique to those with a Biblical worldview: Where we should stand on an issue and what God's prophetic Word states will happen in the future. Through these insights, let's examine the chaotic developments in Iran.

The New Lynch Mob Mentality Permeating American Society

A thousand miles away, New York Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani declared on X, โ€œThis morning, an ICE agent murdered a woman in Minneapolis.โ€ He needed no investigation and no trial. And with that we begin to see what a socialist/communist future looks like. That kind of knee-jerk rush to judgment is fueling the new lynch mob mentality permeating a large portion of American society.ย

In the case of some, it was God's sovereignty that permitted tragic events to unfold, knowing the impact of the Gospel would be worth the cost. In other instances, God raised individuals into higher positions of responsibility, knowing that their prioritizing of Jesus above all else would provide opportunities to proclaim Biblical truth in powerful ways. Here is a list of Christians who were used by God in 2025 to make a tremendous impact.
