Jack Hibbs: Opportunity in Midst of Coronavirus Crisis

Believer, life on planet earth is noticeably different than it was a few short weeks ago. Who could have imagined citizens universally being told to stay home from work and play? And no one would have guessed that we’d be faced with empty shelves at the market. But here we are, and people are worried, they’re anxious, and in need. But where some see uncertainty, I see opportunity.

Colossians 4:5 KJV – “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.”

Those around us can see that Christians are not exempt from adversity – it comes to us just like them – but unlike them, we can experience freedom from worry. Fretting is assuming a responsibility that was never intended to be ours. It’s like a three-year-old wringing their hands over the mortgage when dad’s bank account has an abundance. In times such as these, we can go about the business of life with confidence because our heavenly Father knows our needs before we’re aware of them, and when we do ask, He answers. (Matthew 6:25-34). When anxious thoughts assault us, and they will, we need to let this promise wash over our souls and saturate our minds, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3).

It is reasonable to trust in the Father who freely gave His own Son that you might be saved. He will not forsake you now. You are inscribed on the palms of His hands. (Isaiah 49:15-16). The power of the cross sets us free from the tyranny of worry.

The real need of our anxiety-ridden world isn’t health or stocked shelves, it is peace with God that brings the peace of God. Open your front door and step outside, while praying a neighbor does the same. They may never read a Bible, but in that moment, you are the Bible. Give them an encouraging word, a loaf of bread or can of tuna from your cupboard and then tell them why you have hope. In every crisis there is opportunity. May we not allow this one to pass without sharing the good news of eternal life.

The Future Of The Temple Mount: What The Bible Says About The Most Explosive Flashpoint In The Middle East

The Temple Mount has frequently been the location of violent flashpoints. The Hamas-led massacre of Israelis on October 7th, 2023, was called “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” by the Iranian terror proxy. Hamas commanders stated that the operation was a direct response to Israeli raids, tensions, and perceived threats regarding the Al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount. Though this was the stated excuse, I believe this was nothing more than camouflage for their real murderous motivations. Nevertheless, it aptly demonstrates the flashpoint of the Temple Mount. In recent days, the status quo has been imperiled. Rumblings on the Temple Mount threaten to spread into a wider conflict.

An Inversion Of God’s Design: New Study Says Human Population Needs To Be Cut In Half

The modern environmental movement is about more than just protecting earth’s creatures and resources (something we must do as good stewards of God’s creation)—it’s an inversion of God’s design. This movement puts the creation in dominion over man—the opposite of what God instructed. God formed earth for mankind, to use, to tend and keep, to exercise dominion over, to enjoy, and to glorify God with: "The heavens are the heavens of Yahweh, But the earth He has given to the sons of men" (Psalm 115:16). But today’s environmentalism says humans are a blight, a disease, on this planet and we need to start removing ourselves for the betterment of everything else. Consider this quote from a new study that claims we need to halve the world population, taking it from 8 billion to less than 4 billion, by 2200.

Michele Bachmann’s Advice To The President: ‘Take The Handcuffs Off Of Israel’

Michele Bachmann, a former congresswoman, 2012 Presidential Candidate, and outspoken friend of the Jewish State, advised the President to “take the handcuffs off of Israel” and enable the nation to handle its own self-defense unencumbered. On the premiere episode of “Falling Into Place” alongside co-host Jan Markell, Bachmann noted that Israel is being strong-armed into absorbing attacks on its nation—something that the United States, if it were in the same position, would never deem acceptable.
