A recent Bill introduced by Ontario’s NDP opposition party would create “safety zones” around drag queen story hours, with the aim of banning protests from taking place within 100 meters of locations where the events take place.

Bill 94, known as the “Keeping 2SLGBTQI+ Communities Safe Act,” would ban what they refer to as an “act of intimidation,” which includes “causing a disturbance,” “distributing hate propaganda,” “making offensive remarks,” and “engaging in a protest or demonstration for the purpose of furthering the objectives of homophobia and transphobia.”

While “peaceful protests” would not be banned under this law, a protest could be deemed unpeaceful by simply engaging in what they interpret as “homophobia and transphobia,” which, under Canada’s conversion therapy ban, has been applied to discussions surrounding Biblical sexuality.

If passed, violating the “2SLGBTQI+ community safety zone” would be accompanied by a maximum $25,000 fine.

The Bill comes after Alberta pastor Derek Reimer made headlines for being jailed three times while protesting outside of a drag queen story hour, which is against the city of Calgary’s bylaws.

“I’ve warned Canadians for a very long time—and I’m warning Americans as well—that you will be ruled by what you tolerate,” Reimer warned. “If you tolerate corruption, you will be ruled by corruption. If you tolerate perversion, you will eventually be ruled by perversion.”

Franklin Graham commended the Alberta Pastor, writing on Social Media: “Pastor Reimer feels that God was calling him to expose and stand up against these events that endanger and seek to indoctrinate children. It’s just wrong to expose children to sexualized, agenda-driven programs like this. These are true and wise words of warning for all of us.”

Peoples Party of Canada (PPC) Leader Maxime Bernier condemned the “transgender madness” in a newsletter last week.

“I’ve been vocally opposing radical transgender ideology for a long time now, but these past few weeks it feels like things have been kicked into overdrive,” he described. “Across Canada, radical trans activists have been aggressively pushing their agenda to normalize transgenderism, particularly amongst children.”

“Not only have they not been opposed by governments, they are being actively protected by them!” the PPC leader cautioned.

“Over the past month, a Calgary pastor, Derek Reimer, has been arrested three times for peacefully protesting drag queen events targeted at children,” he continued. “On top of that, Calgary’s leftist city council even forced through an emergency bylaw, the ‘Safe & Inclusive Access’ bylaw, to prohibit protests within 100 metres of city-operated recreation facilities (such as libraries or community centres) hosting these drag events. This bylaw is obviously unconstitutional and must be overturned. Canadians have a right to peaceful protest!”

“To make matters worse, earlier this week the Ontario NDP—the province’s official opposition—put forward a bill almost identical to the Calgary bylaw that would extend across the whole province,” Bernier explained. “What is happening to our government? What is happening to our society? We need a voice of reason in Parliament to stand up for basic realities like the fact that there are only two sexes, and that children should not be encouraged to ‘transition’ and be mutilated!”

Throughout the Western world, children have been increasingly indoctrinated to reject both science and Biblical truth regarding gender. Ken Ham, Founder and CEO of Kentucky-based Answers In Genesis, noted the tragedy of the confusion that has resulted from promoting this transgender lifestyle to children.

“How many children will be sacrificed on the altar of the LGBTQ religion before parents wake up and stand against the madness that’s preached fervently in so many schools around our nation and through the media?” Ham questioned. “It seems the answer is many thousands of children. You see, the push to teach gender ideology to young children and teens isn’t without consequences—it’s scarring (quite literally) thousands of children, leading them to do irreversible damage to their bodies.”

“The gender madness sweeping through our Western cultures is nothing short of horrific child abuse,” Ham asserted. 

In an article exclusively published by Harbingers Daily, Canadian Pastor Matt Rowan discussed the increasing hostility by the Canadian government to Biblical truth on gender and sexuality.

“These things happening in our nation, are not the liberation of man,” he insisted. “These are attacks on the nature of God and His Word. This is an assault on Christ in our nation. And these are attacks on God’s creational design. They’re meant to hurt God. They are meant to hurt those whom God is seeking to redeem from sin and its power.”

“They are driven by ideologies that are anti-Christ; they are anti-Jesus. The state is not impartial, supporting both sides, it has a clearly weighted moral stance in a specific direction,” he underscored.

“We as people, and as a nation, need to turn to the Word of God to renew our minds, to transform and re-shape our thinking, to form a worldview that is Biblical and is honoring to Christ,” Rowan implored. “The path being promoted in our nation is one that leads to destruction. But there is hope in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.”

“The desire of my heart is to proclaim to any and all who would listen, that God has a ordain design for human sexuality and gender, and it’s laid out in His Word. My desire is to be a dissenting voice in our culture, one that points people to Christ, and be a church that’s committed to His Word,” he described. “Men and women will never understand their value and worth, they will never understand their identity, they will never know contentment outside of God’s ordained design and a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Any message contrary to that is a lie.”
