Petition to Court: Force Gov’t to Sanction Palestinians For ‘Pay-For-Slay’

Families and several Zionist organizations petitioned the High Court of Justice on Sunday with the request to implement the “pay-for-slay” law aimed at punishing the Palestinian Authority for paying stipends and benefits to would-be bombers imprisoned in Israel and the families of terrorists.

The law requires the government to deduct the sums paid by the Palestinian Authority to terrorists and their families from the taxes Israel collects on behalf of the PA.

“According to the law, at the end of every year the defense minister is required to present a report detailing how much money the PA provided to terrorists over the course of the year. Once the report is approved by the security cabinet, that sum is deducted from the PA taxes in the following year,” right-wing Zionist group Im Tirtzu said in a statement. “However, Defense Minister Benny Gantz has yet to present the report, prompting the groups to file the petition,” the statement read, noting that hundreds of millions of shekels have been paid to terrorists and their families over the past months.

The Choosing Life Forum of Bereaved Families also called on the government to “stop its habit of promising to combat terrorism while simultaneously doing everything in its power to financially aid the PA and to harm deterrence by preventing the implementation of the ‘pay-for-slay’ law.”

Attorney Yotam Eyal, CEO of the Legal Forum for the Land of Israel, noted: “The number one interest of the State of Israel is to protect its citizens and not to provide funding to those who wish to harm them.”

Iran’s Unprovoked Ballistic Missile Attack On Israel Is A Big Development, But Is Anyone Truly Surprised?

It is absolutely intolerable to have missiles raining down on your country. Would Americans just sit back and absorb ballistic missiles bombarding the U.S. mainland? Of course we wouldn't! Which is why it was so confusing when President Trump tried to restrain Israel, urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to respond to Iran's unprovoked missile attack. The president wants a deal with Iran—a deal which will not be worth the paper it's written on.

Jan Markell: Is Israel’s Spiritual Blindness A Reason For Christians To Reject Them?

Ezekiel 36 emphasizes that when the Jews return to the land, they will do so in unbelief. There will be spiritual regeneration much later! The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 reflect a lack of breath or spiritual life. God states he is gathering them back “not for your sake but for my holy name’s sake,” because their presence among the nations caused his name to be profaned. Ezekiel 36 promises that once back in the land, God will cleanse them, give them a new spirit, and cause them to walk in his statutes. But much later.
