In a viral video, a mother claimed she pressed her six-year-old daughter with questions about her gender, asking the little girl, “Are you a boy or are you a girl?”
The mother wrote as a caption, “My six-year-old daughter asks me if I think she ‘looks like a boy.’ I asked her, ‘Do you wanna look like a boy?’ Her response left me speechless.”
In the video, which is accompanied by the ethereal sound of voices singing to make it seem pleasant, the voice of the alleged mother asks the little girl, “Are you a boy or are you a girl?” The little girl, who is wearing a baseball cap backward, answers, “I don’t know. I don’t know who I am.”
The mother urges, “So you don’t know who you are?”
The girl shakes her head a little.
The mother persists, “Who do you think you are?”
The girl says haltingly, “I feel like I’m a boy, but I feel like —”
The mother jumps in, pressing, “You feel like you’re a boy? What makes you think that?”
The confused child answers, “I’m not sure, but I feel like I’m talking like a boy.”
The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), the standard classification of mental disorders used by mental health professionals in the United States, according to the American Psychiatric Association, stated, “As many as 98% of gender confused boys and 88% of gender confused girls eventually accept their biological sex after naturally passing through puberty.”
The Heritage Foundation noted in May 2020:
Transgender ideology is now promoted in schools, where children are taught that gender is fluid, falls along a spectrum, and is detached from bodily sex.6 In addition, activists seek to punish anyone who expresses any reservations about radical treatment plans for gender dysphoric children. These plans can include socially transitioning children as young as 4, administering puberty blocking drugs as young as 9, cross sex hormones as young as 14, and surgery as young as 18. This ideology threatens parental rights. In Ohio, a Catholic family lost custody of their daughter when they opposed treatment of gender dysphoria with cross-sex hormones.
The American College of Pediatricians wrote in 2017 in an article titled, “Gender Ideology Harms Children”:
People who identify as “feeling like the opposite sex” or “somewhere in between” do not comprise a third sex. They remain biological men or biological women. A person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking.
HD Editor’s Note: Why Is This News Biblically Relevant?
In today’s day and age, we see a 2 Timothy 3:1-9 humanity doubling down on influencing our next generation. From toddlers to teenagers, children are being targeted on all fronts.
At the expense of our children’s innocence, a godless agenda is being propagated with increasing intensity.
Through school and entertainment, children have been manipulated to believe the LGBT lifestyle is “natural” despite both Biblical and scientific truth. Romans 1 explains this sin comes also packaged with a hatred/opposition to God. This is a strategic and satanic deception causing children to stumble and set them up for a lifetime of gender/sexual confusion, and Biblical opposition.
This preconditioning of children is also something that the Bible does not treat lightly:
Matthew 18:6 KJV – “But whoso shall offend [cause to sin/stumble] one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”
2 Timothy 3:3 describes a time where people will also have a “loss of natural affection.” Unfortunately, this trait is prominently on display in our society.
For a parent to confuse their young child, teaching them, they can choose their desired gender and start them on a dangerous road of procedures and sterilizing drugs should be considered nothing less than child abuse. Sadly this type of abuse has become commonplace in our godless and self-serving culture.
The Bible instructs parents in Proverbs 22:6 to “Train up a child in the way he should go,” with Biblical truth! This verse is all the more relevant in a world where our children’s innocence is continuously in the crosshairs.
