It is with a heart filled with sorrow that I address you today regarding the horrific antisemitic shooting that took place last night in Washington, DC, resulting in the tragic deaths of two Israeli Embassy staffers, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim. Our hearts ache for the victims, their families, and the entire Jewish community devastated by this act of pure hatred. This young couple, about to be engaged, had their lives brutally cut short by an individual fueled by antisemitism.
The hatred displayed in Washington, DC, is not merely a political or social issue—it is a manifestation of an ancient and satanic evil that seeks to destroy the Jewish people, one which we read about in Psalm 83:4, which says, “They have said, ‘Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.’”
It is for this reason that we “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Psalm 122:6), asking the Lord to provide peace and safety for the Jewish people wherever they may be.
We lift up the families of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim and all those grieving this immense loss. We pray for comfort, healing, and strength for the Jewish community in Washington, DC, and around the world. We also pray for an end to the propaganda and incitement that fuels antisemitism and casts blame on Israel instead of Hamas.
We stand in complete solidarity with the State of Israel and the Jewish people and denounce this act of violence and all expressions of antisemitism. There is no justification for such hatred.
We will continue to advocate for Israel and shine a light on the truth of God’s enduring love for His Chosen People.
