We are less than a month and a half away from the two-year anniversary of the Hamas invasion of southern Israel on October 7, 2023, that led to the gruesome and tragic death of 1,200 Israelis and the taking of over 240 hostages. Hamas still has a bit of a stronghold in the Gaza Strip, but where they are really holding on is in the media. It seems as if the global media is so infatuated with the Palestinian narrative that they are ignoring the fact that Hamas is a terrorist organization motivated by violence, destruction, and bloody murder.
The double standards, demonization and delegitimization of Israel, were first identified by Russian refusenik Natan Sharansky who was in charge of the return of the Jews to the land from 2009-2018 after he served in the Israeli government from 1996 to 2005. Sharansky’s three Ds are with us today more than ever, and they are instrumental in the blood libel about genocide being disseminated on a global scale.
Most of the world is ignoring other genocides, such as the ones in Sudan, Congo, or even closer to Israel, in Syria. It has been said before, “No Jews…No News!” Unfortunately, all the other genuine genocides around the world are not as interesting and mesmerizing to the masses as the false genocide taking place in the Gaza Strip is. To be honest, it isn’t exactly a false genocide, but rather, a genocide falsely attributed to Israel against the Palestinians. Now, if Hamas were genuinely investigated for genocide against its own people, the findings would overwhelm the staunchest supporter of that terror group.
The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (1948) states that the actions constituting genocide fit into five categories:
โข Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.
โข Killing members of the group.
โข Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group.
โข Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction, in whole or in part.
โข Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group.
According to World Population Review site, the Gaza population grew by 2.84% in the last year. Less than 3% is admittedly not very high, but it remains a positive number, which is the opposite of genocide. It is worth mentioning that the Arab population of Israel in 1948 was about 600,000 and that it has grown to over 2 million since. As a matter of fact, the Arab population within Israel proper has grown to become over 20% of Israel.
The most antagonistic people pointing the finger at Israel are usually ill-equipped to accuse the Jewish state. They are driven by their liberal views, progressive ideology, and desire to root for the underdogโwhoever that might be, as long as it is not Israel. These people would gain a tremendous understanding of the Middle East crisis if they were to visit Israel and be exposed to the factual truth. This doesn’t mean that Israel never makes mistakes or wrong decisions, not to mention accidents, such as the recent hit on the Nasser Hospital in South Gaza. The difference is that Bibi immediately expressed his deep regret for a “tragic mishap” as they are investigating. Had the same event happened in reverse, Palestinians would be parading on the streets passing out candy and pastries.
Perhaps the best example is what I witnessed during my last visit in mid-August 2025.
Our small team of four decided to visit Metulaโthe northernmost town in Israelโwithin a few hundred yards of the border with Lebanon. Prior to October 7, 2023, Metula was the vibrant home of a little over 2,000 people and the location of the “Canada Center” amusement park, which is now completely leveled. As of August 2025, only about 400 have returned, and much structural damage is still very visible.
As we were walking and taking pictures of homes with destroyed roofs from Hezbollah’s showers of rockets, we met with Etan, a local native from Metula (name was changed for safety reasons). He was working on fixing his house that had been hit by a rocket months ago. We engaged in conversation. Etan wanted to share his story. He took us to his property’s back fence and pointed into the distance, less than 1/2 mile away. There, in Lebanon, was a pile of gray rubble, once a vibrant village, that had been taken over by Hezbollah terrorists and used as a launching pad towards Metula. Etan emotionally shared that he knew exactly from which house the rocket came to destroy his, and that he even knew who lived there.
I looked at the rubble and noticed that maybe two or three hundred yards to the right, there were a bunch of untouched homes. When I mentioned it to Etan and inquired if maybe the IDF had missed some of their targets, he immediately responded: “Absolutely not, because on the left was a Hezbollah stronghold and on the right is a Christian village.”
The IDF had hit the enemy with surgical precision, staying away from the Christian village. This was not a one-and-done. The IDF always goes out of its way to spare innocent civilians regardless of their origins. This goes against all logic of conventional warfare, but you see, Israel values life while Islam worships death. These are two opposite ideologies, and they are at the core of the Middle East conflict.
If and when people are genuinely interested in stopping the Gaza genocide, they should visit the area and see for themselves instead of buying the antisemitic propaganda constantly pushed by Israel’s enemies. Along the same lines is the accusation of starvation using either AI photos or photos of children suffering from various diseases that originally have nothing to do with malnutrition.
Yeshua told us in John 8:31-32, “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” This is a reference to the Truth of the Gospel found in God’s word, but for all those interested in the truth about any topic, when they honestly and humbly seek it, they eventually find it, and it sets them free from prejudice and preconceptions. In the case of Israel, when you seek the truth, it becomes impossible to be antisemitic.
You want to stop the Gaza genocide blood libel? Visit Israel, see the truth with your own eyes, and let God change your heart!
