Netanyahu: ‘The Terrorists Seek To Slaughter Us Indiscriminately—We Must All Unite As One In The Relentless Fight Against Them’

The government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has imposed as series of new measures aimed at countering Arab attacks on Israeli civilians.

“While we are not seeking escalation, we are prepared for any possibility. Our answer to terrorism is an iron fist and a powerful, swift and precise response.”  Netanyahu said as he convened his security cabinet.

Seven civilians were killed by an Arab gunman Friday night in Jerusalem, while two others in the city were severely injured in another shooting attack the following day.

At the start of an emergency Security Cabinet meeting Saturday night, Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed his “deepest condolences to the families of those who were murdered in this awful and despicable terrorist attack in our capital Jerusalem. This was a reprehensible attack at the entrance to a synagogue on International Holocaust Remembrance Day.”

He went on to thank United States who he said “expressed outrage and condolences over this terrible murderous attack” during a call, as well as “many other leaders, including from Arab countries, for standing alongside Israel at this time. We are all praying for the wellbeing of those who were wounded in the two attacks.”

The Israeli leader went on to commend the “police officers and security force personnel for their determined and swift action, and also the resourcefulness and heroism shown by ordinary civilians who took action against the terrorists and thereby saved lives. Our response will be strong, swift and precise. Whoever tries to harm us – we will harm them and everyone who assists them.”

Among new measures implemented to counter terror, the Israeli leader announced that demolition of terrorists’ homes will be expedited “in order to exact an additional price from those who support terrorism. This process already began yesterday and is continuing.”

According to a statement by the Security Cabinet, additional steps in the fight against terrorism include the revocation of national insurance rights and additional benefits for the families of terrorists that support terrorism, the expedition of tight firearm licensing to citizens, and the reinforcement of military and police units, expanded arrests and focused operations to collect illegal weapons. Later steps under discussion, said the statement, include the introduction of legislation to rescind Israeli identity cards of terrorists’ families, and the strengthening of Jewish communities in the West Bank districts of Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley.

Following yesterday’s weekly Cabinet session, the Premier said further directives have been issued to the  Israel Security Agency (ISA, Shin Bet) to “submit an immediate opinion on carrying out additional deterrent measures regarding the families of terrorists that express support for terrorism.,” presentation by the Acting Interior Minister and the Attorney General of draft legislation to revoke residency and citizenship of terrorists and removing them to the territory of the Palestinian Authority, and preparation of a draft memorandum by the Labor Minister and the Attorney General on new laws to permit the immediate dismissal of workers who have supported terrorism, without need for hearings.

Later elaborating that the expansion and expedition of weapons licensing will include first responders, Prime Minister Netanyahu pointed out that only a small percentage of the 3,000 mobile volunteers for the ZAKA emergency service nationwide possess firearms to end ongoing attacks. “Imagine if they and others were armed. Of course, this would significantly increase the response capability because as we have seen, time and again, including yesterday in the City of David, that heroic, armed and trained civilians save lives.”

He added, “the terrorists seek to slaughter us indiscriminately; therefore, we must all unite as one in the relentless fight against them. We will defeat them.”

Following a situation assessment at a classified security location, together with the IDF Chief of the General Staff, Head of the ISA, and additional security officials, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated, “while we will not hesitate to act against terrorism, we wish to regain calm and stability on the ground.”

Adding that he and IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi  agreed on the need to reinforce and support efforts by the Israel police, General Gallant said he has “instructed Israel’s defense establishment to increase defensive activities, particularly in the Jerusalem area, and to increase pre-emptive operations against anyone planning attacks on our citizens.”

The top defense official said he has also instructed “our professional echelon and legal teams to assess a series of possible sanctions against terrorists and their families,” while vowing, “We will not allow a situation in which an individual who receives the benefits awarded by the State of Israel, goes on to murder Israeli citizens, and then continues to remain a resident of the State.”

Hal Lindsey, in his article, “What Is Hamas?” noted that “a surprising number” of companies and politicians side with the “Palestinians” over Israel and, in so doing, have stood on the side of terrorists.

“They almost always say they are standing with Palestinians, not Hamas,” Linsey stated. “But that’s like coming out against the United States in World War II, claiming you only support Germans, not Nazis.”

“The eradication of Israel is their goal,” he urged. “They don’t just want to win a military victory over Israel or carve out a Palestinian state. Hamas wants nothing less than the destruction of the Jewish people. Genocide is their aim and reason.”

In his article, Lindsey detailed how the Hamas charter promotes Jewish stereotypes, anti-semitic false accusations, and the murder of Jews. Furthermore, its charter is vehemently against peace with Israel, stating, “There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad.”

In a recent article, Olivier Melnick argued that any definition of antisemitism would be incomplete without factoring in a critical component: Antisemitism is demonic.

“My standard definition for antisemitism is as follows: Antisemitism is the irrational, satanic hatred of the Jewish people and Israel, characterized by thoughts, words and/or deeds against them. I have yet to see a definition of antisemitism that includes the words satanic or demonic. That aspect of the problem is seldom, if ever, mentioned,” he explained, “but it is a key, if not THE key component.”

“The reason is simple, and it is found in the Bible,” Melnick maintained. “God has Israel and the Jewish people at the core of His plan for mankind. When at the end of the seven-year Tribulation (also known as the Time of Jacob’s Trouble), Israel will realize that Yeshua is indeed the Jewish Messiah and Savior of the world, and the Jewish people will call upon Him corporately (Zechariah 12:10). It was Yeshua who declared to Israel that His return was dependent upon their crying out to Him ‘Baruch Haba Bashem Adonai’, in Matthew 23:37-39.”

“Satan knows that time is coming,” Melnick continued. “He continues to do everything he can to denigrate, demonize and decimate the Jews so that he can keep his position of ‘Prince of the power of the air’ (Ephesians 2:1-2). This is the ONLY reason antisemitism exists, and this is why I am convinced from a biblical perspective that it will not cease but only increase until Yeshua Sar Shalom (Jesus the Prince of Peace) returns.”

Shifting Public Opinion: The Appeal Of Pride Month Appears To Be Fading

For years, June brought a predictable wave of corporate logos, advertising campaigns, themed merchandise, and public celebrations. Parents learned to pay closer attention to commercials in family programming, sports fans grew accustomed to Pride-themed uniforms and promotions, and many city streets became venues for often indecent displays at Pride parades. This year is noticeably different. The symbols are not gone, but they are far less prominent. It’s premature to say Pride has fallen, but it is fair to say the appeal of Pride Month has faded.

A Wake-Up Call: Report Finds That Australian Christians Are Opting For Silence Over Societal Pushback

Over the past few years, I have spoken with countless believers who feel increasingly hesitant to express their faith openly. Teachers are unsure what they can say in the classroom. Healthcare workers worry about the consequences of acting according to their conscience. Employees feel pressure to keep their beliefs private in the workplace. Parents are concerned about the values being promoted in schools and public institutions. Perhaps the most significant finding is not that Christians are facing challenges. Jesus told us to expect opposition. Rather, it is that many believers are quietly withdrawing from public life. They are self-censoring.

Jan Markell: Is Israel’s Spiritual Blindness A Reason For Christians To Reject Them?

Ezekiel 36 emphasizes that when the Jews return to the land, they will do so in unbelief. There will be spiritual regeneration much later! The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 reflect a lack of breath or spiritual life. God states he is gathering them back “not for your sake but for my holy name’s sake,” because their presence among the nations caused his name to be profaned. Ezekiel 36 promises that once back in the land, God will cleanse them, give them a new spirit, and cause them to walk in his statutes. But much later.
