Large Protests Erupt in Lebanon’s Capital City Targeting Corrupt Officials

The leaders of the Lebanese government and Hezbollah are facing significant pushback from protestors throughout Beirut; Protestors are now engaging security forces; Gunshots are reported in at least one area.

Following on the heels of the devastating explosion that took place in Beirut leaving over 150 people dead, protests have now erupted throughout the city in very high numbers. Protests are not a foreign concept to Lebanon, where the people have experienced increasing displeasure with the governing authorities for several years due to corruption that has led to various problems, especially a deteriorating economy. Several protests have occurred in the last year.

However, today’s protests have a different tune to them.

As of Saturday evening, the first gunshots had been heard from the vicinity of the foreign ministry building. It’s reported that security forces were using tear gas to disperse the crowds as well. Additionally, protestors made their way into Lebanon’s economy ministry and set the building on fire. And while Lebanese leadership is being criticized in these protests (i.e. President Michel Aoun), the leadership of Hezbollah is being called out in a whole new manner.

Protestors can be seen holding images of Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah with a noose around his neck. There are images that equate him with that of a cockroach as people pretend to spray his face with a can of insect poison. And earlier in the week, hundreds of protestors chanted, “Iran, get out of Lebanon!”, in reference to Iran’s sponsorship of its terror proxy.

The lingering question now is, will the Lebanese people say, “enough is enough.”, and push Hezbollah out of their country?

Promises To Cripple The Demonic Regime In Iran Are Politically Damaging If The Administration Doesn’t Follow Through

Repeated promises to cripple the “Death to America, Death to Israel” regime, only to follow those threats with renewed invitations to the negotiating table, appear neither to have deterred Tehran nor convinced Americans that success is approaching. President Trump now faces a choice. He can allow this cycle of confrontation, negotiation, and escalation to continue, or bring the conflict to a decisive conclusion.

If The Church Will Not Teach The Truth About Israel, Someone Else Will Gladly Teach The Next Generation A Lie

There is a spiritual battle raging today over one nation unlike any other in history. That nation is Israel. It seems everyone has an opinion about Israel—politicians, journalists, influencers, podcasters, celebrities, and social media personalities. Sadly, one of the few places where many Christians are not hearing about Israel is from the pulpit. That silence has come at a tremendous cost. The issue of Israel has become a dividing line in the Church. Entire denominations, Bible colleges, seminaries, pastors, and Christian influencers are abandoning the biblical view of Israel and replacing it with theological systems that deny Israel’s future.

A Society That Does Not Value Human Life Is On A Slippery Slope Toward Destruction

The Founding Fathers dreamed of a place where all people could live in true freedom. This could be possible only in a country built upon Biblical values. Billy Graham once said, “America has probably been the most successful experiment in history. The American Dream was a glorious attempt. It was built on a religious foundation. Its earliest concepts came from Holy Scripture.”
