Lapid Calls On White House Not To Delist Iran’s Guards As Terror Group

Foreign Minister Yair Lapid indicated on Monday that the Biden administration may be open to delisting the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps as a terrorist organization, and called on international actors to convince the White House to reject this Iranian demand.

“Everyone in his right mind should talk to the administration about this and tell them, ‘This is just wrong, don’t do that,’” said Israel’s top diplomat, speaking in Jerusalem at the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

In front of the same forum the night before, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett also warned that Tehran was demanding the IRGC be delisted.

“They are now asking to let the biggest terror organization on earth off the hook,” Bennett said.

In July, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said in a report to parliament that the US would delist the IRGC and remove sanctions on senior Iranian officials if a nuclear deal were reached in Vienna.

In 2019, Trump administration secretary of state Mike Pompeo announced that the IRGC would be designated a foreign terrorist organization, the first time the US blacklisted an entire entity of a foreign government in this way.

The designation came with sanctions, including freezes on any assets the Guard had in US jurisdictions and a ban on Americans doing business with it or providing material support for its activities.

Earlier this month, the Biden State Department announced that it is lifting sanctions from Iran’s civilian nuclear program, a move rebuked by many and declared by Iran’s FM to be “not enough.”

The lifting of the sanctions allows “non-American companies to work on civilian nuclear projects in Iran without drawing retaliation from the US government,” according to the New York Post.

The lifting sanctions and the possible delisting of the IRGC as a terrorist organization pose a significant danger to the Jewish State of Israel.

In a powerful speech to the United Nations in 2015, former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the Iran Nuclear deal, explaining the incredible danger it poses to Israel and the rest of the world.

“This deal doesn’t make peace more likely. By fueling Iran’s aggressions with billions of dollars in sanctions relief, it makes war more likely,” he asserted. “Unleashed and un-muzzled, Iran will go on the prowl, devouring more and more prey.”

“Seventy years after the murder of six million Jews, Iran’s rulers promise to destroy my country. Murder my people,” he underscored. “Perhaps you can now understand why Israel is not joining [international leaders] in celebrating this deal. If Iran’s rulers were working to destroy your countries, perhaps you’d be less enthusiastic about the deal. If Iran’s terror proxies were firing thousands of rockets at your cities, perhaps you’d be more measured in your praise. And if this deal were unleashing a nuclear arms race in your neighborhood, perhaps you’d be more reluctant to celebrate.”

Netanyahu’s words have only become more relevant today.

Israel praised the former Trump administration for its hard stance on the Islamic Republic of Iran while condemning those who continually refuse to respond to Iran’s blatant violations of the nuclear deal.

With sanctions lifted on Iran, by the Biden administration, it will only advanced the Islamic Republics’s efforts against Israel through the funding of their terror proxies and purchase of weaponry. They have been doing this increasingly by way of Syria, using the war-torn country to house weaponry to attack the Jewish State, which has resulted in multiple Israeli strikes.

In Isaiah 17, we are told that in the last days, Damascus, the capital city of Syria, will be completely destroyed. Although we are not told how this will happen or by whom, Syria has become a hotbed of activity in the Middle East that those familiar with Bible Prophecy have been watching very closely.

Damascus’s destruction could also be a catalyst to the Ezekiel 38-39 war in-which Russia, Iran, Turkey, and others come together from the north, with weaponry supplied by Russia, to attack the Jewish state.

Shifting Geopolitical Landscape: Examining The ‘Abraham Accords’ Through A Biblical Lens

Because they are frequently mentioned in the news, it’s likely that many people are aware of the Abraham Accords and generally understand their purpose. However, if you were to ask the average person to elaborate on what it means to “normalize relations” with Israel, or what realistically takes place when a country becomes a signatory to the Accords, it’s doubtful that most would be able to confidently answer the question. So, what exactly do these agreements do, and why should we, as Christians, pay attention to them?

Vigilant To Protect: A Pastor’s Responsibility To Call Out False Teachers

I recently watched a minister online. He gave a scathing critique of those who dare call out purveyors of false doctrine. He said we should love our fellow Christians. Paradoxically, he criticized those who criticize others. He seemed intent on inoculating his followers — making them immune to charges of false doctrine against his friends and himself. In one sense, the attack seemed pious. Don’t criticize. Be loving. Be sweet. But Jesus ran the money changers out of the temple.

Michele Bachmann’s Advice To The President: ‘Take The Handcuffs Off Of Israel’

Michele Bachmann, a former congresswoman, 2012 Presidential Candidate, and outspoken friend of the Jewish State, advised the President to “take the handcuffs off of Israel” and enable the nation to handle its own self-defense unencumbered. On the premiere episode of “Falling Into Place” alongside co-host Jan Markell, Bachmann noted that Israel is being strong-armed into absorbing attacks on its nation—something that the United States, if it were in the same position, would never deem acceptable.
