UPDATE: UN Removes Calls For The Eradication Of Israel From ‘World Peace’ Exhibit After Israeli Ambassador Pushes Back

Breanna Claussen

UPDATE โ€” After placing significant pressure on UN leadership, Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, announced on Wednesday that the international body has removed the antisemitic drawings, which called for the eradication of the Jewish State, from the display of the exhibit on “World Peace.”

“Yesterday, I exposed the hypocrisy of the UN through an exhibition featuring children’s drawings where the state of Israel was erased and filled with hateful imagery,” he wrote. “After firmly addressing the UN leadership, the exhibition was fixed, and these antisemitic drawings were removed from the walls. We will stand for [truth], and each time we witness antisemitism or hypocrisy, we will confront them head-on.”

The United Nations โ€œGlobal Peace Flagโ€ exhibit displayed at the main entrance of its headquarters in New York, contained a considerable number of Palestinian flags, watermelons (a fruit used as a symbol by anti-Israel activists due to the similarity of its colors with the Palestinian flag), and the words “Free Palestine.”

The most egregious drawing pictured declared the whole of Israel to be Palestinian land and had writing which stated, “From The River To The Sea, Palestine Will Be Free”โ€”a slogan which describes wiping Israel off the map from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.

While the exhibit contained calls for the elimination of the Jewish State, noticeably absent was any mention of the terrorist-driven war against Israel or the 101 hostages who remain held captive by Hamas. Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon underscored that the exhibit showcased the hypocrisy of the UN against Israel.

“The UN, who was established in the wake of the Holocaust’s horrors, has chosen to hang paintings on its walls that explicitly call for the destruction of the Jewish people and do not recognize the State of Israel,” Danon charged on X earlier in the week. “This is a disgrace, and I demand that the UN immediately remove this shameful exhibition.”

“They promote hate in those drawings,” he continued. “This is part of the hypocrisy of the United Nations.”

Similarly, at the headquarters of the UN last August, the global body displayed a shameful exhibit surrounding “Global Victims of Terrorism.” The display ignored Jewish victims of terrorism, including the largest terrorist attack against Jews and Israelis since the Holocaust, which occurred less than a year prior on Oct. 7. The UN, however, did see fit to include a deceptive reference to a “Palestinian victim” of a terror attack supposedly in “Palestine,” though the woman shown, Maysson Salama, was actually wounded in a 2019 shooting in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Then Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, derided the UN at the time, writing: “There is no place more corrupt and morally twisted than the UN, and we must all unite to spread this message worldwide, demanding the closure and the dismantling of this organization, and the establishment of a new body that truly represents noble values.”

Robert Gottselig, Executive Director of the Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry Canada, recently described the lies against Israel as “demonic.”

“Anti-Zionism is anti-semitism. Period. If you want to know who is trying to commit genocide, it’s the Palestinians, as they shout all day long their mantra, ‘From The River To The Sea, Palestine Will Be Free,'” Gottselig warned. “That’s from the Jordan to the Mediterranean. That means no Israel. That means death to the Jews.”

“They are accusing Israel of that which they want to do themselves,” he stressed. “Then they try to convince the world that it’s Israel that is to blame. It’s all due to their demonic hate for Israel and the Jewish people.

“If we don’t stand with Israel and against those who wish them dead, Genesis 12:3 promises us that God will curse those who curse His chosen people. Let’s not be silent,” he urged Christians. “Let’s get involved and take a stand in these evil days where evil is being presented as good and good as evil. Don’t sit back and say nothing. God is taking note.”

The Clash Of Worldviews: Secular Progressivism Vs Biblical Christianity

To understand the age in which we live, it is important to understand the ideas behind secular progressivism and, more importantly, what its aspirations are. After all, whether the majority of people realise it or not, secular progressivism has the stated goal of organising social life (with or without your consent) toward explicitly chosen goals. Those goals, however, put it in direct conflict with Biblical truth. The major flaw in secular progressivism is its belief that preference trumps truth. Because the maxim of this ideology is that โ€œall preferences are created equal,โ€ any belief which competes with somebodyโ€™s โ€œpreferenceโ€ is treated in one of two ways. Either it must be suppressed (usually with the backing of government or media institutions), or it must be branded as a private hobby which is acceptable in the home or inner thought life but not welcome in the public square where others may be influenced by it.

How Allegory Reduces The Bible To Nothing More Than A Work Of Fiction

It is God alone who predicts the future. Prophecy is one of Godโ€™s signatures that tells us that we can trust in Him and His Word. It is what separates the Bible from all other religious writings in the world. But if we consistently use allegorical hermeneutics, as Charles Ryrie points out, then in effect what we have just done is reduce the Bible to nothing more than a work of fiction. How tragic! With hermeneutics like that, it is no wonder so many people want nothing to do with Bible prophecy. It is no wonder pastors refuse to preach and teach events concerning the future, and it is no wonder it can be so hard to understand.

Jan Markell: You Canโ€™t Have A Genuine Revival With False Doctrine Raging

I hear a dozen evangelists stating that we are on the verge of a great revival. One self-proclaimed prophet says that a billion souls will come to faith in the coming weeks and months. If my Rapture is imminent, how can there be an imminent revival? Which is it? The Bible does talk about a coming revival. The question concerns its timing. Is it in the coming days, or is it after the Rapture when the โ€œleft behindโ€ world realizes they should have listened to believers like you and me, get a second chance, and multitudes come to faith?
