Starting on Monday, Nov. 3, Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will be serving lunch at no charge to federal employees in our locations who aren’t receiving their paychecks because of the government shutdown.
Every day—seven days a week—until the government reopens, lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. to federal workers with their valid government ID. We want them to know they are valued, that God loves them, and that we care.
Don’t let anyone ever tell you there’s no such thing as a free lunch—because there is! I hope thousands of churches with kitchens will do the same thing. While the politicians argue back and forth, let’s do something.
