A cluster of severe storms, including at least 14 tornadoes, hit central Wisconsin last week. Fierce winds and heavy rainfall flooded homes and business and caused widespread damage. Thousands of residents were forced to evacuate and are now sorting through the wreckage of their lives.
Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) chaplains are deploying to New London, Wisconsin, a town at the center of the damage, to provide emotional and spiritual support to residents.
โMany families and individuals have been forced from their homes and now face the difficult road ahead. But the Bible reminds us that even through storms, God remains a refuge and a shelter for those in need,โ said Josh Holland, vice president of BG-RRT Global. โOur chaplains are there to remind them of this truth, offering prayer and a listening earโand pointing them to the hope of Jesus Christ.โ
Will you please pray for the many individuals and families who are picking up the pieces after the flooding in Wisconsin? Please lift up first responders and our chaplains, who are sharing encouragement and the hope of Jesus Christ in the midst of crisis.
