Chad Thomas: Changing Times & the Remnant Believer

If you are reading this right now, most likely, you are a believer in Jesus Christ, and you believe that He is coming one day soon to Rapture His church. We are living in a generation like never before in Human History.

Israel’s rebirth as a nation has occurred in our Generation (May 14, 1948), fulfilling Biblical Prophecy made over 2,500 years ago by the Prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 66:8) as well as the Prophet Ezekiel (Ezekiel 36-37), etc.

On the Mount of Olives, Jesus gives the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24:3-8) explaining the signs that would precede His Second Coming. Later on, in Matthew 24, Jesus provides us with an idea of how we can know we are the final Generation before His Second Coming. He mentions the Fig Tree (Israel) and that when we see Israel reborn as a nation, that generation would not pass until ALL of these things be fulfilled (Matthew 24:32-34). This was fulfilled on May 14, 1948, and it’s been over 71 years since this occurred!

So, how long is a generation? If you go to the book of Psalms chapter 90 verse 10, it records: “The days of our years are threescore years and ten” (70 years) “and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years” (80 years) “yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.” Simply put, Jesus is at the door!

Not only is Israel’s rebirth as a nation an indicator of the lateness of the hour, but also the state of the human heart today.

Today’s society is mirroring what’s recorded in 2 Timothy 3. People are calling evil good and good evil (Isaiah 5:20). The increase in technology, anti- Semitism, and the increase in natural disasters (earthquakes, volcanoes, insane weather patterns, etc.) also show the lateness of the hour. We could spend all day talking about the signs of the times and the Biblical Convergence that’s occurring before our very eyes that did not occur in previous generations, but that is not going to be the focus of this article.

As we near the Lord Jesus’ Return to Rapture His church, we know that the Enemy is on the prowl to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). He is like a roaring lion seeking whom He may devour (1 Peter 5:8). He knows his time is short. He wants to destroy all of us, make us doubt ourselves and weaken us.

Millions of believers worldwide (myself included) are currently dealing with family members, friends, and even our own spouses that want nothing to do with Bible Prophecy and don’t want anything to do with the name of Jesus Christ. As we are witnessing the changing times and the end of the dispensation of the Church Age, it seems those closest to us are pushing further away from the truth of Jesus Christ and getting sucked in more to the treasures, temptations, and pleasures of this world.

Ever since I started my journey as a Born-Again believer, I have been dealing with this same issue as millions of you are. To be honest, it can be overwhelming at times and can be extremely discouraging. All we want for them to know is that Jesus Is Coming and that He is the only way to Heaven! It’s the best news in the world, yet those closest to us want to shrug the message off.

For the remainder of this article, I want to go over a few points on what we as believers need to be doing in these Final Moments. Again, I realize millions of you just like me are going through these issues with those closest to you, and instead of us getting down and depressed, we need to get encouraged and stand strong. I want to go over a few things that I do when I feel lonely, depressed, and discouraged. It’s my prayer after reading the following key points that you are encouraged, and you incorporate them into your daily walk with the Lord!

The first thing every single one of us as believers need to make sure we are doing daily is making time available for prayer. Make it part of your daily routine (Morning, Afternoon, Night) or whenever you can make time for it. Prayer is essential for our spiritual growth.

Did you ever notice that the most you feel at peace is when you are either in prayer or in the Word!? Prayer is our direct access line to the Father. And the scriptures tell us the significance and power of prayer!! (Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

The second thing every single one of us as believers need to make sure we are doing daily is making sure we are in the word (The Holy Bible)! Just like with prayer, we need to make time available to be in the Word daily. And just like with prayer, when you are in His Word, the scriptures speak to you and can take you from feeling rock bottom and abandoned to risen up and so Loved! God’s Word speaks directly to you and can overcome any doubts and insecurities and loneliness you are feeling. Hebrews 4:12 about sums up the power of being in God’s Word!

Hebrews 4:12 KJV – “For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thought and intents of the heart.”

The third thing every single one of us as believers need to make sure we are doing is surrounding ourselves with like-minded believers. I don’t know about you guys, but I need to be able to talk with fellow believers, whether it’s by email, text message, or a phone call. Since many of us are surrounded by family members and spouses that don’t want to hear about Jesus or His soon return, we need to be there for one another as believers. The scriptures tell us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) and to encourage one another and build one another up (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

I strongly recommend you find a Bible-believing church around you that teaches the full counsel of God. Many churches are in an apostate state, so find one around you that is on fire for the Lord and teaches the true Gospel. I attend a Calvary Chapel in Marlton, NJ, that is on fire for the Lord, and the Pastor is preaching Truth, and the congregation is Hungry for the Word of God! I encourage you to find one near you or a similar Church near you! It’s vital that we surround ourselves with like-minded believers.

Hebrews 10:25 KJV – “Not Forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

The final thing I will leave you guys with is that the way we are living our lives is vital for us as believers. Since many of us have spouses and family members and friends that need Jesus Christ, we need to be an example and a representation of Christ here on this earth! The Scriptures tell us we are called to be separate and not indulge in the things the world has pleasure in (2 Corinthians 6:14-18) but to be obedient and chase the things of God. That doesn’t mean we avoid our families and friends and lock ourselves in a room. Jesus has called us to go out and preach the Good News to all! How will they hear without a preacher (Romans 10:14)?! The way we are living our lives should be evident to those around us whom we serve. We want them to see that there is something different about us, and we want them to crave that change that leads to newness of life! We are called to be lights in this world, and to shine our light bright, that they may see our good works and Glorify our Father which is in Heaven (Matthew 5:14-16)!

It’s my prayer after reading this article that you really apply the points I have gone over to your everyday life so you can experience victory and Joy in your everyday life. Again, like millions of you, I have family and friends that think I’m nuts for what I believe, but after years of dealing with this, I have found that making sure I am putting on the Full Armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18) and sticking to the points mentioned in this article, that I can have complete joy and victory in my everyday walk regardless of the attacks and darkness that may surround me.

Keep looking up! Be Encouraged! The King of Kings and Lord of Lords Jesus Christ is coming soon! Keep watching with me!!!

In A World Encased In Violence, Prophecy Is The Stabiliser Of Our Faith

God did not provide His Word so that it would simply die in the hands of the spiritually dead. He expected, as evidenced by Habakkuk, that it be shared – particularly that which was warning people of the two paths available – righteousness or wickedness.
