The recommendation, sent to ASPS’ 11,000 members on Feb. 3, urged surgeons to delay “gender-related breast/chest, genital, and facial surgery” until a patient is 19 years old, since “there is insufficient evidence demonstrating a favorable risk-benefit ratio for the pathway of gender-related endocrine and surgical interventions in children and adolescents.”
“It’s so hard to face that you are disfigured for life,” Varian said at the trial. “No amount of reconstruction is ever going to bring back what I lost.” The case could set a precedent for other individuals who underwent gender transitions and are seeking legal remedies, and doctors may adopt caution to avoid legal risks with malpractice.
“Being deprived of religious liberty involving worship is an irreparable harm. Coastal Family Church was unconstitutionally forced to choose between cancelling worship services or be in contempt of court. Every Sunday a church is forced to close its doors inflicts irreparable spiritual and constitutional injury on its congregation.”
Sonja Shaw, Chino Valley Unified School board president who has fought Assembly Bill 1955 since its introduction, celebrated the announcement on social media, posting, “Children belong to families, not the state. God-given and constitutional rights are worth fighting for!!”
“Administrators will throw up roadblocks for pro-life clubs because they don’t want pro-life speech in schools, fearing that some may find it controversial,” Hawkins said in a press release. “Our petition will focus on an attempted ban on ‘political’ speech. Free speech rights you can’t use don’t exist. We are not going to forget about our students’ rights or ignore attempts to silence them, no matter how long it takes.”
“Now, we are grateful to the current administration for eliminating the remnants of this Biden-era abortion mandate by repealing it entirely. HHS’s decision will protect our former client and pharmacies around the country who are fully within their rights to decline to stock or dispense abortion drugs.”
Together, we’re standing up for our parental rights and our children’s privacy. And we hope and pray for a decision that will help a lot of other families in the future. That decision can’t come soon enough. Jeffco is failing to fulfill its responsibilities to families, parents, and teachers—and unfortunately, it’s our children who are paying the biggest price.
Cissie Graham Lynch offered the rally’s closing prayer: “Lord, as we leave this place today, we know there's a lot of work still to be done. So, Lord, as we go, give us the strength. Fill us with the courage. Give us the compassion. … May we stand with an unwavering conviction, and may we be a nation who stands before the world and says that we are a country that values all life, Lord, because You are the Giver and You are the Author of life. And we pray this in the powerful Name of Jesus. Amen.”
When the Supreme Court denied a petition in October to review Erin and Jonathan Lee’s lawsuit against a northern Colorado school district accused of secretly manipulating their 12-year-old daughter to believe that she was a boy, the Christian couple was profoundly disappointed. “The state-mandated religion of Colorado is gender ideology,” Erin says. “It reigns supreme, and it’s a spiritual battle.”
“As we celebrate National Religious Freedom Day, it’s encouraging to see that a growing number of Americans reject the idea that faith belongs behind closed doors,” said Rienzi. “The Founders recognized that our nation is stronger when we allow our neighbors to bring their beliefs into the public square without fear, even when those beliefs cut against the grain.”
“This is a victory for common sense and for every woman who simply wants to feel safe at work,” said Darlington nurse Bethany Hutchison, president of the Darlington Nursing Union. “Women deserve access to single-sex spaces without fear of intimidation. Forcing us to undress in front of a man was not only degrading but dangerous. Today’s ruling sends a clear message: the NHS cannot ignore women’s right in the name of ideology.”
Open Doors International, which has been ranking countries since 1993 based on reports of violence against Christians, released its 2026 World Watch List on Jan. 14. Open Doors CEO Ryan Brown said that 388 million Christians live in regions of the world where they are highly susceptible to persecution for their faith. “The enemy is seeking to attack that which is advancing. … As those numbers increase, it shows that the enemy is working even harder to try to squelch the Church.”
Cissie Graham Lynch, who hosts the “Fearless” podcast and is a senior advisor at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, attended the oral arguments and is calling Christians to stand up for truth in the case. “I hope these cases help wake Christians up,” Lynch said. “Believers can’t stay on the sidelines anymore."
Australia is reaching a moral flashpoint. Across the nation, laws governing life, death, family, sexuality, and religious expression are shifting at breakneck speed. The country is abandoning its ethical foundations and trampling on long-held freedoms. Legislation is increasingly secular, increasingly coercive, and increasingly hostile to the values that once guided public life. The result is an unprecedented assault on human dignity—and a growing attempt to push Christian voices out of public debate.
“The church’s religious belief is that it is facilitating abortion by covering it through the church’s plan. There is absolutely no argument otherwise that there would be no abortion coverage here but for Cedar Park seeking out an insurer, negotiating the terms and signing a contract,” Gray said during the hearing.
