First Liberty Institute filed suit on Feb. 17 on Rivera’s behalf, requesting that KIPP Antioch College Prep Elementary School remove the final warning letter from his personnel file, stop discriminating against individuals for their religious beliefs in hiring and evaluating employees, and commit to accommodating religious employees who wish to refrain from reading any materials to students that violate their faith. 

Moody Bible Institute only hires those who agree with Moody’s Doctrinal and Positional Statements. For example, an employee must agree with core Biblical doctrines such as the Trinity, the infallibility of the Bible, Jesus’ divinity, the virgin birth, the Gospel and the death and resurrection of Jesus.  Those who are employed must also be part of a local church and abstain from sex outside of marriage and not condone or affirm transgenderism or homosexuality. 

Does our view of Israel really matter? Yes—because it relates to the credibility of Scripture and the character of God. A theology that redefines God’s promises inevitably reshapes how His people are viewed. The conviction that God will yet fulfill His promises to Israel is not political; it is Biblical. And in a world where antisemitism is again rising, it is a conviction Christians cannot afford to surrender.

In an article in the National Interest, Jason Brodsky, policy director of United Against Nuclear Iran, said the new leadership points to a “dark turn for the Islamic republic,” while Janatan Sayeh of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies said Khamenei “embodies his father’s legacy and all of the Islamic Republic’s defining pathologies: theocratic rule, human rights abuses, destabilizing foreign policy ambitions, and kleptocracy."

As Canada approaches its 10th anniversary of legalizing assisted suicide, the nation is also nearing a record 100,000 deaths by the practice. Based on the number, so-called Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) is one of the leading causes of death in Canada, making it soon to be the first nation in the modern era to reach over 100,000 in euthanasia deaths. Canada’s yearly total is more than all other countries combined.

Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East, and yet the media portrays her as the villain of the world. I believe this is a supernatural hatred that comes from the pit of hell—spiritual warfare against the plan of God and the Jewish people. Questions from some in the church, about the position of Israel as the elected people of God and the return of the Jewish people to their homeland as acts of God, are rooted in Biblical illiteracy.

The Trump administration today withdrew a Biden-era rule that requires potential foster parents to prove they will support a gender transition, or the LGBTQ identity, of their prospective foster children. The Federal Register published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to officially annul the 2022 rule “Designated Placement Requirements Under Titles IV-E and IV-B for LGBTQI+ Children.”  In a warning letter to all 50 states, the federal government told states they cannot remove children from foster homes without “objective evidence of harm or imminent risk” if they received federal child welfare funding.

David Cortman, ADF senior counsel and vice president of U.S. Litigation, stated in a press release that ADF hopes the settlement “shows teachers that they do not have to bow the knee to ideological mandates that violate their religious beliefs.”

Amid the American and Israeli joint strikes on Iran and the death of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Franklin Graham and other evangelical leaders have encouraged believers to remain prayerful. “The Iranian Islamic regime posed a serious threat to Israel and other peace-seeking nations. For believers, however, this is not a moment for celebration but for intercession."

It is an ideologically fueled approach to sex education built on the idea that children are sexual beings from birth and have independent “sexual rights,” Clarke added—a framework that directly violates parents’ universally recognized human right to guide the moral education of their children. 

According to court documents, attorneys for The Pines Church in Hermon, Maine, say the local school board questioned the church on its beliefs about marriage, sex education, abortion, birth control access for youth, and conversion therapy before denying its request for a lease. “Access to a public facility was conditioned on theological agreement,” Advocates for Faith & Freedom said in a statement on its Facebook page. “‘Do your biblical beliefs align with the government’s’? That is a direct assault on the First Amendment and the free exercise of our faith.”

“No parent should be forced to lie to a vulnerable child about who they are, much less promote irreversible and life-altering procedures that don’t have any proven health benefits,” said Widmalm-Delphonse. “And, unfortunately, other loving families have been unable to open their homes to children in need just because of their Christian worldview. We commend Vermont for respecting the religious diversity of foster parents and ending its exclusionary policy that deprived children of opportunities to find loving homes.”
