The Leaders Of Canada, France, And The UK Just Cursed Their Own Nations

Robert Gottselig

(Regina, Canada) โ€”ย Just last week, leaders of the UK, France, and Canada issued a joint statement condemning Israel for the situation in Gaza. Below, I have included their anti-Israel statement in full, which unsurprisingly won the praise of the terrorist organization Hamas:

We strongly oppose the expansion of Israel’s military operations in Gaza. The level of human suffering in Gaza is intolerable. Yesterday’s announcement that Israel will allow a basic quantity of food into Gaza is wholly inadequate. We call on the Israeli Government to stop its military operations in Gaza and immediately allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. This must include engaging with the UN to ensure a return to delivery of aid in line with humanitarian principles. We call on Hamas to release immediately the remaining hostages they have so cruelly held since 7 October 2023.

The Israeli Government’s denial of essential humanitarian assistance to the civilian population is unacceptable and risks breaching International Humanitarian Law. We condemn the abhorrent language used recently by members of the Israeli Government, threatening that, in their despair at the destruction of Gaza, civilians will start to relocate. Permanent forced displacement is a breach of international humanitarian law.ย

Israel suffered a heinous attack on October 7. We have always supported Israel’s right to defend Israelis against terrorism. But this escalation is wholly disproportionate.

We will not stand by while the Netanyahu Government pursues these egregious actions. If Israel does not cease the renewed military offensive andย lift its restrictions onย humanitarian aid, we will take further concrete actions in response.

We oppose any attempt to expand settlements in the West Bank. Israel must halt settlements which are illegal and undermine the viability of a Palestinian state and the security of both Israelis and Palestinians. We will not hesitate to take further action, including targeted sanctions.ย

We strongly support the efforts led by the United States, Qatar and Egypt to secure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. It is a ceasefire, the release of all remaining hostages and a long-term political solution that offer the best hope of ending the agony of the hostages and their families, alleviating the suffering of civilians in Gaza, ending Hamas’ control of Gaza and achieving a pathway to a two-state solution, consistent with the goals of the 18 June conference in New York co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France. These negotiations need to succeed, and we must all work towards the implementation of a two-state solution, which is the only way to bring long-lasting peace and security that both Israelis and Palestinians deserve, and ensure long-term stability in the region.

We will continue to work with the Palestinian Authority, regional partners, Israel and the United States to finalise consensus on arrangements for Gaza’s future, building on the Arab plan. We affirm the important role of the High-level Two-State Solution Conference at the UN in June in building international consensus around this aim. And we are committed to recognising a Palestinian state as a contribution to achieving a two-state solution and are prepared to work with others to this end.

This is no jokeโ€”but it should be. Why are the leaders of these three countries condemning Israel for the suffering in Gaza? Why are they blaming Israel for the denial of humanitarian aid to the civilian population? Why on earth are they rewarding the evil Hamas by committing to push for a two-state solution?

Friends, let me be very clear: The suffering in Gaza lies solely with Hamas and the majority of the Palestinians who supported them.

As for the humanitarian aid, the leaders neglected to place the blame upon Hamas, whose theft of aid from the Gazans is well documented. The UK, France, and Canada also ignored the unprecedented amount of food entering the Strip. As Amjad Taha, a Middle Eastern political affairs analyst, recently detailed on X:

Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has received more than 300,000 metric tons of humanitarian aid, delivered through over 22,000 trucks to a population of just 2.1 million people. That translates to roughly 143 kilograms of aid per person in just a few months. Assuming an average of 3,500 calories per kilogram of food, which is standard for calorie-dense emergency rations, this aid contains more than 1.05 trillion calories in total. With Gaza’s population requiring approximately 4.2 billion calories per day based on a 2,000-calorie daily diet per person, this aid alone could fully feed the entire population for over 250 consecutive days with three full meals a day and room for dessert. Put differently, if the intake increased to four heavy meals per day, which far exceeds any humanitarian minimum, the people of Gaza would still be covered for roughly 190 days.

Don’t blame Israel. They are not preventing the humanitarian aid from entering; Hamas is stealing it. According to the numbers, Israel is going above and beyond.

Israel also did not start this war. Hamas waged this war in the most evil, demonic, and gruesome way on October 7th, all while they blew billions in international aid to create an underground terrorist tunnel networkโ€”designed not to help their own people but for the sole purpose of trying to destroy Israel. They use their own people as human shields and continue to do so. Yet, the UK, France, and Canada have the nerve to blame Israel and reward Hamas’s wicked actions with a two-state solution.

Gaza was the test for a two-state solution. How did that all work out? It resulted in a massacre. The bottom line is that you can’t make peace with people who wish you dead.

Shame on you, Prime Minister Mark Carney, for your joint statement with the UK and France. This will not bring blessing to Canada; it will bring curses upon my country, as the God of this universe promised in Genesis 12:3.

If world leaders wanted to put an end to this war, they should have told Hamas to release the remaining hostages, surrender, and lay down their weapons. Instead, they refused to stand for and defend the truth, putting out a joint statement that won the praise of Hamas (wrap your head around that for a few moments).

The National Post, in their article, “Hamas Thanks Liberals, Again. It Should Be A National Wake Up Call,” wrote:

Canadians don’t believe in terrorism. They believe in peace and democracy. That’s why this week’s news should alarm every Canadian: Hamas, a designated terrorist organization responsible for the brutal murders and rapes of over 1,200 innocent people on October 7 โ€” including the deaths of eight Canadians โ€” publicly praised a jointย statementย issued by the UK, France, and Canada. That statement demanded that Israel cease its military operationsโ€”or face “concrete actions.”

Let’s be honest: if Hamas is thanking you, you’re on the wrong side of history.

And this isn’t the first time. This marks the second instance where Hamas has openly praised Canada’s stance. When a terrorist organization applauds your foreign policy โ€” not once, but twice โ€” that should trigger a serious moral reckoning.

Even more troubling, after it was revealed that several UNRWA staff were complicit in the October 7 massacre, Canada didn’t cut back funding to the agency. The governmentย increasedย it. What does that say about our moral compass? Are we so determined to appear “neutral” that we’re willing to reward those tied to terror?

This is not a matter of foreign policy nuance. This is a question of moral clarity. Hamas โ€” an organization committed to Israel’s destruction โ€” welcomed the joint Western statement describing it as a “an important step” in the right direction. Why? Because it lets them off the hook. Why release the hostages or stop fighting if even the West is behind us?

Let me say it again: Shame on Canada and shame on Canada’s Liberal Party for their anti-Israel rhetoric. All their actions serve to do is pour more fuel on the already out-of-control fire of antisemitism scorching our country.

Couple that with the pro-Palestinian protests that have been allowed to continue unchecked on the streets of Canada. These rallies are openly spreading evil and hateful propaganda against Israel and the Jewish people, with no actions taken by the government to intervene. The nation of Israel was compelled to issue an increased caution to Jews and Israelis in Canada on Sunday, warning that “the discourse surrounding these events has become more radical, including what could be understood as calls to violently harm Israelis and Jews at these events.”

The Prime Minister is creating an opportunity to repeat what happened last week in Washington, DC, when two Israeli embassy staffers were murdered by a gunman who shouted, “Free, free Palestine!”

Our Jewish community here in Canada is already on edge, feeling increasingly vulnerable and scared. Many are wondering how safe it is to remain here in Canada.

This is on you, Mr. Carney.

Do your homework on the situation and stand on the right side of history. When a terrorist organization is openly praising you, you’re clearly on the wrong side.

What does the God of this universe have to say about all this? That is the most important question. For good reason, I often quote Genesis 12:3. Standing with terrorists who are trying to destroy Israel is not going to bring blessing to your country; it is, without question, going to bring curses. In Genesis 12:3, God says that He will bless those who bless the Jewish people and curse those who curse them. It is really that simple.

While we are not required to agree with everything they do, think, and say, but we better align ourselves with God’s Word! God has given the land of Israel to the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In fact, the parcel of land God has promised to them extends far beyond Israel’s current boundariesโ€”stretching from the river of Egypt to the Euphrates River.

On more than four separate occasions, the Palestinians have had opportunities presented to them for a two-state solution. They rejected those offers every single timeโ€”in 1937, 1947, 2000, and 2008. 2005 served as a good test for a two-state solution with the Jewish people removing themselves entirely from the Gaza Strip; the bloody results should speak for themselves.

God says that the land is not for sale, and He is going to judge the nations who stick their noses in with the intention of dividing up God’s covenant land, as my country has endeavored to do.

Our leaders and all those advocating for a two-state solution need to read Leviticus 25:23 and the warning in Joel 3:2. They need to fear the God of Israel, who is the God of the universe.

The psalmist in Psalm 33:8-12 writes: “Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.”

Iran Is Not Simply A Political Talking Point, Its A Major Player In End Times Prophecy

We are seeing headlines of courageous men and women standing up at great personal cost to the Iranian regime. We should all be praying for the people of Iranโ€”especially for the many Iranian Christians among them. Pray for freedom, protection, and the gospel to continue spreading.ย Iran is not simply a political talking point, but what many, including myself, believe is a land of biblical significance. Iran (ancient Persia) is considered a major player in end times prophecy.

Though Its Implications Are Overwhelming, The Sound Doctrine Of Hell Is Vitally Important

With that terse observation, the late church historian Martin Marty summarized our attitude toward a vanishing doctrine that received a great deal of attention in previous generations. Hell is scarcely mentioned in most evangelical churches today. I must ask: When is the last time you heard a sermon or a serious Bible lesson on the topic? Sometimes it is given a quick mention, but yes, Marty is right, hell has disappeared, and we didnโ€™t even notice.

Wednesday, January 14th: A Call To Prayer Andย Repentance For America

If you think our nation is in trouble now, just waitโ€ฆ As our streets boil over with hate, anger, crime, drugs, and just sheer hopelessness, is there something we can do? You bet there is. I would like to call for a time of prayer and repentance thisย Wednesday, January 14, at 12:00 noon. As a nation our sins are so great. We have increasingly turned our backs on God and His commands, embracing godless secularism. We need to ask His forgiveness and seek His face.
