Worldview with Amir Tsarfati: Economic Deception & Something Big Stirring

Shalom from Israel! I am here today with our Behold Israel tour group experiencing the picturesque old city of Jerusalem. There is so much beauty and history within its ancient walls. But more than that, there is the strong presence of the Holy Spirit as He draws closer to the Father those seeking to experience firsthand the setting of so much of the Scriptures. I love to witness the faces of God’s people light up as they see passages they’ve grown up reading suddenly come to life before their eyes. That is what kept me so passionate about my work as I led Holy Land tours for so many years.

Israel Opens Embassy 15 Miles from Iran’s Border

Last night, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen flew to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, where he will open an embassy in the central Asian state. This capital city is located just 15 miles from Iran’s northeast border making the embassy Israel’s closest official presence to the terrorist Islamic regime. Prior to departing to Ashgabat, Cohen spent time in Baku, Azerbaijan, deepening relations with the Shiite-majority country. While Azerbaijan supplies Israel with 30 percent of its oil imports and, allegedly, access across its borders for intelligence operations, Jerusalem in return provides military weapons to Baku. Iran is busy building relationships with proxy militias in various countries. Israel, on the other hand, is spending its time strengthening ties with actual countries. For more information on this momentous occurrence in Turkmenistan as well as other very important happenings, please watch my Breaking News Update from yesterday.

The IDF’s Calm Before the Storm

Today, Ramadan will end. Then, next week Yom HaZikaron (Memorial Day) will begin Monday, followed by Yom Ha’atzmaut (Independence Day) beginning Tuesday. Once those days of remembrance and celebration are complete, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) will be free to carry out whatever is necessary to protect our nation. The activity at Ramat David Airbase near my house is unprecedented. Something big is getting ready to happen.

Cyberattack and Terror Attack Hit Israel

Anonymous Sudan, a hacker group, celebrated Quds Day on Friday by launching a cyberattack against Israel. The websites of some banks, the post office, the electricity company, and the red alert warning app were all affected to various extents. Then, on Tuesday, two ultra-Orthodox men were driving home from morning prayers when a man ran up to their car and began shooting. Both victims were wounded, while the perpetrator escaped on foot.

Israel’s Credit Rating Outlook Takes a Hit

Moody’s Investors Service weighed in on Israel’s judicial reform by lowering the country’s credit outlook from “positive” to “stable”. Said Moody’s Senior Vice President Kathrin Muehlbronner, “The only driver for our rating action last Friday were the events around the government’s plans for judicial changes [which] have shown us that, in Israel, you can have a government that is willing to take pretty significant risks with economic and social stability.” Thank you, Ms. Muehlbronner, for your opinion. Like most nations, we Israelis are always appreciative of outside organizations sticking their noses into our internal struggles. While the country’s credit outlook was affected, Israel’s credit rating itself remains at A1.

US Republican Senator Visits Saudi Crown Prince

South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham took a trip to visit Saudi Arabia, a country he vowed to never step foot in or do business with. Once stepping foot in the country, however, he appeared to have found a nation and a Crown Prince with whom he is ready to do business. He praised the progress Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has made in his Vision 2030 cultural reform program. He also thanked the nation for its purchase of South Carolina-made 787 Boeing jets worth $36 billion. Rumors are that political metrics are still being run as to whether the two previous sentences have anything to do with each other. Crown Prince MBS stated an openness to continued friendship with the US. However, there are three conditions he has put forward. First, Saudi Arabia wants some sort of a US security agreement against hostilities from Iran. As much as the two countries currently pretend at liking each other, the only country Iran hates more than Israel is Saudi Arabia. Second, Riyadh wants free trade with America. Finally, the Saudis want a nuclear program of their own, supervised and provided by the US.

American Helicopter Raid Kills ISIS Leader

US Central Command forces killed senior ISIS leader Abd-al-Hadi Mahmud al-Haji Ali on Monday during a helicopter raid in northern Syria. The raid was specifically targeted against the ISIS leader after intelligence learned of a plot to kidnap officials abroad to hold as leverage.

Quds Day Fizzles

Threats against Israel from the radical Muslim world abounded as Al-Quds Day drew near. This day, celebrated on the final Friday of every Ramadan is named after Jerusalem, or “the Holy” (in Arabic al-Quds), and was created by Ayatollah Khomeini after his 1979 revolution to put focus on the fact that there were all these Jews cluttering up the Holy City. The vitriol was particularly spicy from Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who called for wide-spread marches and demonstrations throughout the Muslim world. However, the promised violence against Israel never came. It is one thing to talk a big game; it is another to go up against the IDF.

Iran Admits Responsibility in Rocket Attacks

How did you spend Iranian Army Day on Tuesday? Commander of the Islamic Republican Guard Corps Hossein Salami celebrated by making a speech in which he admitted Iran’s responsibility in guiding their proxy militias in Syria, Gaza, and Lebanon to fire rockets at Israel earlier this month. The major general said that the attack was revenge for the deaths of two Iranian advisers killed in IDF airstrikes in Syria. He also took joy in warning that some shadowy persons have managed to arm Palestinian militants in the West Bank.

Economic Deception by Iran Discovered

Iran was very proud of its amazing economic recovery. The data provided by the country to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) ranked it as 17th in the world. There was only one problem – the data was fake. Once the real numbers were considered, Iran instead ranked only 43rd in the world for GDP and 124th when it came to per capita income. Mr. Supreme Leader, we’d like to give you the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was just some rounding error that bumped your numbers up by $630 billion. I’d recommend hiring better accountants, but I recognize that times seem to be tight for you right now.

Turkey Grows Its Presence in Old City Jerusalem

The government of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is intentionally trying to build up the Turkish presence in the old city of Jerusalem. Visitors are being sponsored to come, set up shop, and stay. Whether it is through charity work or employment in the hostel restaurant and the Islamic Center that the Ankara administration has purchased, the goal is to expand Turkish influence. Erdogan still dreams of being the guardian of Sunni Islam in a reconstituted Ottoman Empire. This fits well with the Ezekiel 38 prophecy that sees Russia partnering with Turkey, Iran, Sudan, and soon, Libya.

Japanese Prime Minister Survives . . . Something

As Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida attended a political event, a device resembling a pipe bomb was thrown towards him. The cylinder dropped to the ground with a loud bang and began to emit smoke. Kishida was hustled from the scene. A 24-year-old suspect was arrested on the scene and charged with the innocuous-sounding “obstruction of business”. What first appeared by all to be an assassination attempt on a state official now seems to be either a prank or a protest of some sort. The suspect is remaining mum on his motives.

Sudan on the Brink of Civil War

Back in October 2021, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and General Mohamed Hamdan “Hemedti” Dagalo united their forces to mount a coup to oust a transitional council that itself was established two years earlier during a revolution. Al-Burhan took over as sole leader with Hemedti as his right-hand man. But having two alphas doesn’t make for a happy kennel. Now the two generals are fighting each other in the streets of Khartoum leading to the deaths of at least 180 citizens. The belief is that if this continues much longer the country will descend into a bloody civil war.

Russian Ghost Ships Loiter in Nordic Waters

“Russian Ghost Ships” sounds like the title of a Franz Kafka play or a novel by Nikolai Gogol. Instead, these mystery boats are very real and are sailing around the waters near Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden. What gives them their ghoulish descriptor is that they have turned off their Automatic Identification System (AIS). Thus, while everyone knows they are out there somewhere, no one is quite sure where that somewhere is. It is believed that Moscow is using these boats to map the locations of internet and power cables, oil pipelines, and wind farms in the Nordic waters. The head of Denmark’s counter-espionage department and the head of Norway’s intelligence agency both say that they are ready to intervene if Russia tries anything against their countries’ infrastructure.

Taiwan Purchases Anti-Ship Weapons from America

The Pentagon has announced a $1.17 billion contract with Taiwan for 400 Harpoon land-launched anti-ship missiles. The weapons are primarily for addressing the growing concern with Chinese belligerence. Production is expected to take until 2029.

Amir Tsarfati: For Israel To Be Safe, The Cancerous Tumor Of Hamas Has To Be Removed

This has been a very disappointing week as Israel has watched the United States separating itself from us. Through ultimatums, threats to withhold arms, vote abstentions, and condescending rhetoric, the Biden administration has made it clear that it believes that “peace at all costs” between Israel and Hamas is necessary for a November reelection.

Purim: Jewish Survival Isn’t Contingent On The World’s Hostility, But The Power Of God

Today, we have the same spirit of the annihilation of the Jews coming from the same part of the world. Modern Iranian leaders are obsessed with the spirit of Haman even today. We don’t need an Esther in the palace anymore. We need the prayers of the saints worldwide.

A Remnant May Be Cheap And Worthless By The World’s Standards, But Not By God’s

But to God, those He considers “remnants” are assigned a high value indeed, since He sets them aside to undertake His high and holy calling. Likewise, the remnant church may be hated by the world and disliked by Laodicean-era churches, but God has a distinct purpose for them.
