The Wrong Foundation: Evolution Relies On Blind Faith… Not Scientific Evidence

Evolution is a blind-faith belief.

Now evolutionists don’t like when I say that; they claim that creationists like me have a blind faith while they have science and facts. But this misunderstands the nature of evolution. You see, the idea of evolution doesn’t come from fossils, biology, or DNA. Rather, it comes from an interpretation of the fossils, biological systems, and DNA from a worldview founded in the belief of naturalism (atheism).

Scientists start with their worldview—evolutionary naturalism—and they interpret the evidence in light of their worldview. It’s a belief system (really a religion) that relies on faith. But it’s a blind faith.

Evolutionists must believe all of these things by blind faith:

  • Life came from nonlife . . . even though this contradicts the law of biogenesis.
  • One kind of creature changed into another kind . . . even though that’s never been observed.
  • Natural selection can create new genetic information . . . even though that’s never been observed. Natural selection works on already-existing genetic diversity.
  • Various, extremely complex systems evolved multiple times each (e.g., powered flight supposedly evolved at least four separate times).
  • Millions of years ago, life exploded on the scene in great diversity with few “ancestors” in the rock layers below (this is called the Cambrian explosion).
  • Humans and great apes share a common ancestor . . . even though the number of differences between us and them keeps increasing with each new study!
  • Soft tissue managed to last millions of years in the fossil record.

Instead of starting with the words of scientists who weren’t there, don’t know everything, and frequently make mistakes, let’s start with the Word of the One who knows everything, who has always been there, and who never makes a mistake. He’s given us the true history of the universe in His Word (and science confirms the Bible!).

Everyone has faith: The question is who is your faith in? Is it a blind faith that lacks credulity or a faith in the Bible, which is confirmed by what we observe?

A Declaration For The Defenseless: Life Is The Condition Of Every Other Right

“The Declaration of Independence gives us three examples of ‘unalienable’ rights: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Life is the first of those rights because it is the condition of the others. It is thus the most foundational of all rights.” Those words come from the opening paragraph of a “Declaration for Life: A Statement from Christian Leaders,” spearheaded by Missouri Senator Josh Hawley (R). I joined Senator Hawley in releasing the declaration this week after a prayer breakfast with Missouri pastors who traveled to Washington for the occasion.

Time To Reverse Course: How America Went From Boldly Defending Creation To Being Inundated With Evolutionary Belief

In 1925, the state of Tennessee was openly in favor of creation science. The legislature passed the Butler Act, which included the following language: "It shall be unlawful for any teacher in any of the Universities, normals and all other public schools of the State which are supported in whole or in part by the public school funds of the state, to teach any theory that denies the story of the Divine Creation of man as taught in the Bible, and to teach instead that man has descended from a lower order of animals." I have a hard time believing that any state in the US ever was so bold in its stance. But Tennessee was. Evolutionists struck back quickly.

Boldly Reaching The ‘Hopeless Generation’: Charlie Kirk’s Legacy—One Year After His Death

Two months after Charlie was murdered, we went to the very campus where it happened—Utah Valley University—and held a Harvest Crusade. We saw many people—college students—give their lives to Jesus Christ. I believe this is a watershed moment—a turning point, especially for the younger generation. Young people, this is your moment. It’s time to stop trying to fit in and be cool. Instead, be bold and courageous. In fact, that may be the coolest thing you can do. Charlie was bold about his faith to the very end, and so should we be.
