Markell: Denouncing Prayer and Departing From God, Minneapolis Regularly Slips Into Lunacy And Tragedy

Jan Markell

Minneapolis has been my hometown all my life. For generations, people have enjoyed its beauty and its lakes, which we safely hiked around. There are thousands of wonderful believers here! I am so grateful that Minneapolis is the home of an incredible church that set my path for life, as it was a truth-telling, prophecy-oriented church.

Nonetheless, Minneapolis is obviously a target for dark forces. And they are intensifying as we trend towards the Tribulation.

One hundred years ago, the Communist Party USA targeted the upper Midwest—and especially the Twin Cities, Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee, WI to be at the center of their dark agenda.

Additionally, Minneapolis/St. Paul is the gay capital of America, along with San Francisco.

We have so many Somalis that I call this city today Mogadishu on the Mississippi. Most are in full Islamic garb. Women (or potentially male terrorists) roam our streets in full burkas and could be carrying lethal weapons! So much for our casual walks around our lakes.

Our lunatic leftist politicians make this a sanctuary state for the bad guys. Good people are on their own, as our police retire early. Since George Floyd of 2020, our police department has dwindled so badly that no one is safe inside or outside of their homes.

One of our suburbs—Anoka—is the Halloween capital of the world. What an embarrassing honor! I believe those evil spirits linger in our area year-round and haunt us—literally.

I have often apologized that whenever you hear about Minneapolis, it is in conjunction with a tragedy or debauchery.

But why? Is it strictly because the Bible says that “In the last days, evil will wax worse and worse”? (II Timothy 3:13). That verse sure comes to my mind almost daily! And without a doubt, it plays a big role.

What comes with the above evil is a hatred of God. That breeds lunacy: guns are the fault of these tragedies. Lunacy that denounces prayer—partly because liberalism is the leftist religion. Liberalism provides its altar of worship. And Christians, Jews, and conservatives are “oppressors.”

Note Jenn Psaki’s comments: “Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayer does not end school shootings. Prayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back. Enough with the thoughts and prayers.”

Seriously, Jenn? Some day you will circle back from that, but it may be too late.

And while Mayor Frey was denouncing “thoughts and prayers,” I was reminded that he signed the ordinance permitting the Muslim call to prayer to be broadcast from the city’s mosques five times a day. God notices this kind of evil and insanity.

The shooter also denounced “filthy Zionist Jews.” I have said for years that the primary target in the last days will be “people of the book”—Jews and Christians. The cross will always be in the crosshairs. Jew hatred is at 1930s levels.

This was the atmosphere during the time of Noah, and look what happened. The same is about to happen again. God is going to say “enough is enough” and remove the righteous. He will leave the God-haters behind, at which time some will beg for mercy. Some of those left behind may learn to pray. Some will actually call on the Name of the Lord and renounce this evil.

For many, it will be too late. Too many will curse God even more. (Revelation 16:21)

But remember, God is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

Pray for this city. Tragedy opens hearts. Thoughts drift towards eternity, realizing life is so short and can be cut even shorter by tragedy.

Antisemtism And Vitriol For Israel: One Of The Most Distinguishing Signs Of Our Time

The steadily intensifying antisemitism of our day points to the reality of the rapidly approaching Tribulation period. It’s one of the more distinguishing signs of our time because it aligns with so many prophecies that predict hatred for Israel and the Jews during the last days. In Zechariah 8:13, the Lord foretold what we see today along with His promise to dramatically reverse the fortunes of the Jewish people: "And as you have been a byword of cursing among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing. Fear not, but let your hands be strong.”

Called Out From The Culture: The Hope for America Is The Church

I believe that the hope for America is the church—God working through his church. Christians need to live up to their name. As Christ followers, we need to be Christlike. And if the church would be what it was meant to be, then it would change our nation. But let’s localize it. If your church would be what it ought to be, it could change your city. It could change your county, and it could change your state. Let’s localize it even more. If you would be what you ought to be as a follower of Jesus Christ and as a part of the church, then what a difference it could make in your church.

Will America Last Another 250 Years?

Looking back, there can be no denying that God has indeed shed His grace—His unmerited favor—on our land, from sea to shining sea. But does our national “soul” encourage self-control? Do our laws champion ordered liberty? Is our success tempered with nobleness? Is brotherhood the defining characteristic of any good we aspire to reflect? By all of those measures, America seems decidedly adrift. We are drifting farther and farther from Nature’s God—the Ruler of the Universe our Founders called upon and credited with for our celebrated independence.
