Jack Hibbs: In All Your Ways Acknowledge Him, And He Shall Direct Your Paths

Proverbs 3:6 reads, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

For some, the Christian walk seems to be an uphill battle. For others, it’s as though the path is covered with ice, making it difficult not to slide off course. Yet God has made us the remarkable promise that He will personally lead us along life’s way, no matter how challenging.

The Hebrew translation of our English word “direct” is yashar. It is to make right, to make pleasant, or to make prosperous. That is what the Lord has promised you! Your part is to simply acknowledge Him before the start of any duty and before any path is ventured upon. To acknowledge the Lord is to yada, meaning to discover Him present, come to the knowledge that He is here, and find a new way. It is the kind of knowledge that comes from a personal relationship. Therein is the key to a Christian’s day-by-day walk with the Lord.

To seek God in every endeavor is to see Him active in our lives. He desires to lead us more than we want to be led! Knowing that, I am encouraged to ask the Lord to guide, open doors, and let His perfect will be known. And with that comes great liberty to step out and enjoy this glorious experience called Christianity.

Do you want to know which way to go? Or have you taken a dead-end detour? Turn to Him today and watch what happens. You may be surprised, but you will not be disappointed!

After Turbulent Debate, Scottish Parliament Rejects The Legalization Of Assisted Suicide

Dr. Stuart Weir, head of CARE for Scotland, a Christian policy group, also expressed his support for Parliament’s “positive and truly compassionate” decision. “If you look at countries where assisted suicide is legal, the same troubling and distressing pattern emerges: numbers increase year-on-year, and categories of eligibility are widened,” Weir said.

68% Of Americans Say You Don’t Need God To Be Good — A Biblical Response

Without God (the Creator God of the Bible), there is no objective standard for morality or “good” values versus “bad” values. What makes murder wrong? What makes adultery wrong? We intuitively know they are wrong, but what actually makes them wrong is the objective standard of the absolute authority of the Word of God. Without that standard, everything is arbitrary.

Roll Your Eyes All You Want… The Rapture Is Real

Is the Rapture real? There’s always debate around this topic. Let’s start with the obvious: the Rapture sounds crazy. Jesus descends from Heaven, dead people rise from their graves, and living believers are suddenly caught up into the sky—like the world’s strangest episode of “Stranger Things.” Sounds like the stuff your uncle mutters about after three cups of church coffee. Except—the Rapture is right there in Scripture. Paul says it. John says it. Jesus says it.
