Israel: The Nation at the Center of Bible Prophecy

Greg Laurie

A few years ago, as part of the US Millennial Holocaust Knowledge and Awareness Survey, researchers randomly polled millennials and Generation Z members from all 50 states. And they found a troubling lack of knowledge about the Holocaust.

Sixty-three percent of the people they surveyed didnโ€™t know that six million Jews were killed in the Holocaust. And 11 percent of the group actually thought that Jews caused the Holocaust.

The Holocaust was a horrific stain on human history. As part of Hitlerโ€™s so-called final solution, the Nazis sent six million Jewish men, women, and children to ghettos and concentration camps and systematically murdered them.

So who would have believed the nation Israel then would come into existence? It seemed virtually impossible. Yet in the aftermath of the Holocaust, Jews from around the world began returning to their homeland.

On May 14, 1948, a modern-day miracle happened. Israel, surrounded by enemies that wanted to destroy her, became a nation.

That started the prophetic time clock ticking.

Never has a group of decimated ancient people managed to retain their individual identity for almost twenty centuries and then reestablish their nation and original homeland. Yet the Bible prophesied this would happen. And it did.

Ezekiel 37:11-12 reads, โ€œThen he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.โ€

Israel plays a key role in the last days. The apostle Paul wrote, โ€œFor I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.โ€ (Romans 11:25-27).

God is not done with Israel. He will work in her future. And God keeps His promises. He will keep His promise to Israel, He will keep His promise to you, and He will keep His promise to come again. Jesus is coming. Are you ready?

A Time To Act: Is Now The Moment For Netanyahu To Declare A New ‘Independence Day’ For Israel

President Trump says that Prime Minister Netanyahu will accept whatever deal his administration makes. Maybe, maybe not. Netanyahu could see the approaching November midterm elections in America and even Israeli elections in October, and declare that this is the moment for a new Israeli Independence Day. Netanyahu knows that there is a growing number of congressmembers who want to reduce Israel's dependence on the United States. Both the Prime Minister and Israel as a whole agree. In 1948, independence meant Israel would become a countryโ€”a new Independence Day means Israel gets to hit, and hit back hard, against any threat that thinks Israel shouldn't be one.

Protections That Exclude Evangelical Christians: City Refuses To Prosecute Protesters For Storming A Church Service

St. Paul City Attorney Irene Kao said that her office would not charge former CNN journalist Don Lemon and the protestors involved in a planned disruption at Cities Church. On Jan. 18, dozens of protestors interrupted a Sunday morning church service, stopping the pastor from opening the service with prayer while shouting anti-ICE agent chants, and screaming in church membersโ€™ faces. The protestors claimed that one of the pastors was an ICE agent.ย

Jan Markell: Is Israel’s Spiritual Blindness A Reason For Christians To Reject Them?

Ezekiel 36 emphasizes that when the Jews return to the land, they will do so in unbelief. There will be spiritual regeneration much later! The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 reflect a lack of breath or spiritual life. God states he is gathering them back โ€œnot for your sake but for my holy nameโ€™s sake,โ€ because their presence among the nations caused his name to be profaned. Ezekiel 36 promises that once back in the land, God will cleanse them, give them a new spirit, and cause them to walk in his statutes. But much later.
