Is This The Beginning Of Prophetic Fulfillment, Or Simply A Shadow Of What Is To Come?

Greg Laurie

As we all know, the United States just hit the nuclear reactors in Iran through a very successful military operation authorized by the president. President Trump held a press conference on Saturday night where he thanked our military, the Israelis for their cooperation, and God.

Then, he included something in his speech that kind of surprised me. He simply said, “We love you, God.”

I think his statement gives you an insight into the emotional pressure on the U.S. President. It is an awesome responsibility to sit behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, with the weight of the world on your shoulders, having to make decisions that affect human lives.

I believe the mission to destroy Iran’s nuclear reactors was justified. There is a radical regime in control of Iran. Just as we have our eschatologyโ€”the study of end-times eventsโ€”and believe that our Messiah Jesus is coming, the terror-sponsoring leaders of Iran believe that they have a “messiah” of sorts coming as well. They believe the way to prepare the ground for their “Mahdi” to arrive is by creating chaos, hence their activities around the world supporting terrorist organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis.

Over 240 Americans have been killed by Iran-backed terrorist organizations, not to mention all of the Israelis who have died at their hands.

The question arises at a time like this: Is this a fulfillment of Bible prophecy? I would say the answer is… maybe. A more precise question might be: Is this the beginning of a prophetic fulfillment, or simply a shadow of whatโ€™s to come? Let me explain.

We ultimately know that after Israel is regathered as a nation in her land, which occurred on May 14th, 1948, a large force from the Prophecy of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38-39 will emerge to attack the Jewish State.

Many, including myself, believe “Magog” is Russia. Significantly, one of the allies marching with Magog is called “Persia,” the former name of Iran before it was changed in 1935.

Persia will one day march against Israel, attempting with a coalition of nations to invade the Jewish State from the north. This has not yet happened. What we do see, however, is an increasing alignment between Russia and Iran, rising tensions, and ongoing hostility between Iran and Israel.

It’s a cause for great prayer. Many believe Christians want to see Armageddon come and war breakโ€”nothing could be further from the truth. We know that wars will come one day, but we hope and pray for peace. In fact, the Bible tells us to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”

Let’s continue to pray for God’s protection of the United States and Israel. Let’s pray for the leadership of both nations. Pray that God gives our president wisdom as he makes these decisions that affect so many people.

The UFO Phenomenon Is Not Proof Of Extraterrestrials, But Evidence Of A Larger Spiritual Deception

One important observation made by both secular researchers and Christians is the repeated connection between UFO encounters and occult involvement. Many researchers have noted that those deeply involved in spiritism, channeling, occult practices, and paranormal experimentation are those who frequently report UFO-related experiences. Academic studies examining UFO belief systems have also found overlap with mystical and paranormal beliefs.

Two Options Are Laid Before Every Person… And The Stakes Are Eternal

In some situations, the choices seem unlimited. Scripture simplifies our choices down to an either/or, A or B, black or white option: either accept Christ as Savior and Lord OR reject Godโ€™s gracious offer of forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life. The choice is yours, but the ramifications are everlasting.

We Really Are In A Raging War: University Professor Says He Is Waiting For Me To Die

The evolutionary worldview is a religion, one thatโ€™s practiced by those who attack Christianity. They have a nontheistic religion; in fact, evolution fits one of the Merriam-Webster dictionary definitions ofย religion: โ€œa cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith.โ€ The dictionary definition of religion certainly describes the worldview of evolutionary naturalism. The beliefs of evolutionism purport to explain the entire worldโ€™s existence by means of evolutionary naturalism, and thus, it is an all-encompassing faithโ€”a religious worldview.
