When you see evil rising in your midst, you can respond in one of three ways. You can bury your head in the sand and ignore itโhoping and praying it doesn’t come for you. You can acknowledge it, but choose to appease itโagain, hoping and praying that it doesn’t come for you. Or you can call it for what it is and confront it head-on.
Thankfully, the Trump administration is choosing the third option when it comes to the rise of left-wing terrorism and outright communism here in America.
The administration held an event on Thursday focusing on the resurgence of political terrorism, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with the kind of moral clarity that is badly needed in the face of this growing threat.
“This is a distinctive and unique evil,” Rubio stressed. “It has always been driven by a hatred above all else, a hatred for civilization itself. It is a revolt of the worst against the best, a revolt of the weak and the cowardly against the strong and the good. It is perpetrated by those who cannot build, who cannot create, who cannot achieve great things, and take their revenge upon the world for their own inadequacy by seeking to destroy those who can.”
“This is what radical leftism is,” he underscored. “It may wear various different slogans and ideologies across place and time. They can call themselves anti-capitalist or anti-imperialist or communist or anarchist or Marxist. But the fundamental character is always the same. Itโs always the same. It is a poisonous resentment cloaked in the language of equality and justice and liberation, an overwhelming need to tear down what greater men have built, to wreck what is beautiful and what is right on behalf of people who are only filled with ugliness and have nothing else to offer the world.”
Folks, I can’t think of a better summation of the radical left than that.
Anti-God, anti-family, and anti-freedom driven by jealousy, resentment, and grievance. They despise America, Western civilization, Israel, and all that is good and true. They celebrate Islam, LGBTQ, and transgender madness. Poll after poll shows that they support political violence against anyone who stands in the way of their revolutionary agenda.
That’s why they continue to try to assassinate President Trump and why they murdered Charlie Kirk. They are willing to burn everything down in order to remake the United States into something from your worst nightmares.
Thank God we have leadership right now that is not only acknowledging the problem but vowing to do something about it before it’s too late.
