A major terror plot against U.S. military personnel was just broken up by British authorities.
On Sunday, five Muslim men were arrested near the RAF Fairford Air Base in southwestern England. The base is used by U.S. forces to house strategic bombers and to carry out operations against Iran, which means U.S. airmen and military hardware are on site.
A local farmer stumbled upon the suspects near the base and called the police. The men were arrested on suspicion of planning to bomb the base and were charged under the UK’s Explosives Act.
This was a major terror plot that was thwarted. That’s the good newsโฆ Here’s the bad news.
The men behind the plot have already been released on bail. Welcome to Great Britain, where the radical left has turned a once great nation into a global punchline.
Folks, you can’t make this stuff up. Get arrested for allegedly plotting to bomb an air base, and you’re out on bail immediately. But if you publicly criticize Islam, preach the gospel on a street corner, or post something politically incorrect on social media, there are legions of left-wing bureaucrats in the UK who would love nothing more than to lock you up and throw away the key.
Here’s an explanation of why the men were released from jail from a UK counter-terrorism official: โI can confirm that following extensive interviews and inquiries, the five men who were arrested are being released on police bail this afternoon. To be very clear, this does not mean that the investigation is over. They are subject to stringent conditions on their movement and contact with others. They absolutely remain under investigation as we explore multiple lines of inquiry.โ
Gee, now I feel much safer! This is madness. There’s no other way to say it.
It emboldens other vast numbers of radical Islamists across the UK and sends a message that if they plan jihad against โinfidels,โ they will simply receive a slap on the wrist.
Great Britain has now descended so deeply into post-Christian cultural suicide that it’s hard to see how it’s going to ever recover, especially when it keeps letting in wave after wave of Muslim migrants.
It is also worth noting that the farmer who reported the suspicious activity stated that the men were in three white vans and that there were at least eight menโnot five. What happened to the others? I assume they’re still at large.
Potential Iranian Link
Authorities are now investigating whether Iran’s regime may be linked to the plotโsurprise, surprise!
That potential Iranian link to this terror plot, while it is not verified, makes a lot of sense. Back in July, the Iranian regime threatened any nation that would allow U.S. forces to use its bases. The UK base that was targeted in this plot was housing U.S. airmen and U.S. bombers that were in action against Iran’s regime. Iran had the clear motive to engineer this attack.
According to reports, several of the Muslim men arrested were confirmed to be British citizens. An organic homegrown plot wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibility.
The U.K. has a massive problem with its radical Islamic population growing by leaps and bounds. Literal boatloads of Muslim migrants are crossing the English Channel and arriving on the shores of the U.K. dailyโseemingly with the active encouragement of the current left-wing British government, which puts them up in housing and treats them like honored guests.
If you think this plot might be a wake-up call for the U.K., think again. Not only were the men released on bail less than 24 hours after their arrest, we also learned today that the U.K. is increasing its refugee resettlement program, focusing in particular on bringing more Palestinian-Muslims to the mixโฆ when’s that ever gone wrong?
We have a very dire situation throughout the West.
A Lesson For America

Any Christian who does not get out to vote should hang their heads in shame. We have got a unique opportunity in this nation to vote and help determine our future. It’s ultimately in God’s hands, but that does not negate our responsibility to vote against communism, Islamism, socialism, and the rest of the madness we are seeing envelop the U.K.
What’s happening in Western Europe grieves me, as someone who loves the continent’s history and culture. It grieves me to see Europe, where the gospel went out from for centuries, devouring itself from within.
America doesn’t have to go down the same road, but the warning signs are serious. When the United States has literal communists and Islamists running for high office, you’ve got a big problem.
Don’t sit home on the midterms. Don’t sit home and say, โJesus is coming back anyway. What difference can I make?โ Jesus never said, until I return, sit on the couch and wait for me. No! He told us to go and be proactive by putting our faith into action.
Americans must understand what could be coming down the pike if Christians, in particular, stay home. Christians stay home and do not vote, time and time again.
