Anne Graham Lotz: You Can’t Work Your Way Into God’s Presence

Anne Graham Lotz

Romans 3:10 KJV – “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

Genesis 11:4 KJV – “And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.”

In their pride, the builders of Babel assumed they could work their way into God’s Presence and He would accept them on the basis of what they had done. They were wrong then, and they are still wrong today.

God has said that “All our righteous acts are like filthy rags,” (Isaiah 64:6) and “There is no one righteous, not even one,” (Romans 3:10) and “Without holiness no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14, NIV). So how does one get into heaven? Jesus gave clear instructions, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven,” (Matthew 7:21) and “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

All religions are man’s organized, rebellious, prideful attempt to get around God’s stated will and way and work and Word. Instead of arguing with Him, just come to Him through Jesus.

‘Ignoring Human Nature’: Using Biblical Reasoning, Rubio Pinpoints Why Globalism Is A Recipe For Disaster

One particular statement was truly profound, and its tremendous accuracy stems from being bred out of a Biblical worldview. Discussing the collapse of communism in Germany, Rubio warned that the celebration of this success in the West quickly morphed into an ill-conceived fantasy about the future of nations. This globalist mentality, he stressed, “was a foolish idea that ignored both human nature and it ignored the lessons of over 5,000 years of recorded human history. And it has cost us dearly.”

The Unholy Alliance Between Islam And The Radical Left Is More Emboldened Than Ever

The mask is now off completely. As America marks the 250th anniversary of its founding, the unholy alliance between Islam and the radical left is becoming very bold, publicly proclaiming that they intend to take the United States in a new direction—from faith, family, and freedom to socialism, Sharia, and separation.

When A Nation Forgets That Liberty Is Meant For Service To God, It Loses The Purpose Of Freedom

Exodus confronts every generation with the same call. God delivers people not to independence from Him, but obedience to Him. When a nation forgets that freedom is meant for service to God, it loses the purpose of freedom — and soon, the freedom itself. The words still echo: “Let My people go, that they may serve Me.” The future of our liberty depends on whether we remember the second half of that sentence.
