Over the years, Cissie has come to understand that a fearless and sustaining faith can only come when we fear God. But what does it mean to fear?
In the simplest terms, it means that we take God seriously. We respect Him, we obey Him, we submit to His discipline and we worship Him in awe.
And there is a blessing and peace that comes when we fear the Lord.
Proverbs 9:10 tells us that “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
