A new report released by the Trump-appointed Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias alleges that the Biden administration “weaponized the full weight of the federal government against Christians,” targeting faith communities across multiple agencies and departments.
The task force, chaired by Attorney General Pam Bondi, was created earlier this year by President Donald Trump to identify and dismantle unlawful policies or practices hostile to Christians. Its preliminary report, obtained by Fox News Digital, outlines what it calls “numerous instances of anti-Christian bias” during the Biden years and makes recommendations to safeguard religious liberty.
“The federal government will never again be permitted to turn its power against people of faith,” the report states. “The days of anti-Christian bias in the federal government are over. Faith is not a liability in America–it is a liberty.”
Among the findings, the task force said the Department of Defense, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Department of Labor mishandled or denied requests for religious exemptions to the Biden administration’s COVID-19 mandate. It also accused the Department of Education of targeting Christian universities with unprecedented fines, including $14 million against Liberty University and $37.7 million against Grand Canyon University.
The report further cites examples at the Department of Homeland Security, which allegedly excluded Christian perspectives from detainee directives while affirming accommodations for other religions, and at the Justice Department, which was accused of prosecuting pro-life demonstrators under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act while ignoring attacks on churches and pregnancy centers.
White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers told Fox News Digital that President Trump “is protecting Christians, not punishing them,” contrasting his approach with what she called Biden’s trampling of First Amendment rights.
The task force, which first convened in April, said its review is ongoing and a final report will be delivered by February 2026. In addition, Trump signed an executive order earlier this year establishing a White House Faith Office to work with churches and faith-based groups on public policy.
“America must remain One Nation under God if she is to remain indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,” the report concludes. “The Task Force will never permit the federal government to be used as a weapon against faith.”
