During a Youtube Livestream, Pastor Jack Hibbs called for prayer as he and many other Christian leaders prepare to attend an ‘Evangelicals for Trump’ Coalition meeting.
“This is an extremely unique situation. This is the first time, that we know of, in modern presidential history, where a President has asked for evangelicals,” Pastor Jack explained. “I personally heard him say this two weeks ago, in the Roosevelt Room… I want you guys, you pastors, to proclaim your biblical world view to your congregation. Encourage your people to get involved in the process, encourage them to register to vote, to get out and vote, and to make a difference.”
“He wants pastors to proclaim truth from the pulpit,” Jack Hibbs, the Pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, said. “Let me ask you this right now: have you seen anything like this before? An opportunity like this before? Christian or pastor, I haven’t in 62 years of life.”
“If you know me, one of the things that I’ve been tasked to do is to challenge the pastor’s in American,” Hibbs went on. “I believe that God has called us, called myself, to speak to the pulpits about not only preaching and teaching the Word of God faithfully every week, but the big idea is after we preach it and teach it, what do our people go and do with it?”
Hibbs reminded his audience that these political issues are Biblical issues and the reason why ‘our nation is messed up’, is because ‘good people did not get involved’.
“It’s time to get involved,” he reiterated.
He ended the Live stream by Praying and encouraging others to Pray for the President.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 KJV – “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”
